I've vehicle mechanic qualifications, expirience, I then moved onto an apprenticeship in heavy engineering and electrical I have all relevant qualifications plus a load of extras work was including fabrication welding hydraulics engines pneumatics heavy plant electrical electronic industrial and domestic electrics, along with a lot of other skills, and at the moment I'm serving as a tool and machine setter using engineering hydraulics pneumatics maintenance fault finding (why things are being rejected and altering programming and profiles to iron out faults within the moulds) and working with 6 axis robotics as well as pneumatic robotic systems within the plastics production industry you can be assured I'm not a pen pusher behind a keyboard, I do a lot of work on cars be it my own, families or friends. I've never had my car in a garage apart from the odd MOT. I'm happy to help out with vac routes take some more pictures as there's possibly other bits that need addressing also. All cars run vacuum (as the pistons create on the induction stroke) you'll read positive as the turbo spools and kicks in

Also although you think that your baileys is fine you may not be able to tell what it's doing when under load. Personally I'd run less boost and address the issues you've had pointed out so far

Looks like your losing a substantial amount of exhaust out between the manifold and head judging from what looks to be carbon on the right hand side of cylinder head, probably the toyosports gaskets they come with they have been proven to be useless. This also will increase turbo slag

As shorty says, without that tunnelling and rear differences for the diff your going to find that near on impossible unless you have some amazingly good fab skills or deep pockets, even if you coukd source and weld in the floor pan of an 85 as done on some other car conversions sourcing all the bits will be near on impossible

Try elephant. Put mum dad uncle aunties all with a decent amount of years driving and ncbs on. I have three people on mine, just quote then remove them one by one seeing that it does Definately go down (most do) wouldn't reccomend older generations on there as it can raise it. Maybe take your pass plus, try fully comp it actually works out cheaper a lot of the time. Value your car at the higher of the value scale, £5k ish worth of car is cheaper to insure (I guess they think you'll take better care) Higher excess, drive safer. Elephant does it all on a 10 month policy so you get ncbs quicker!!!

Baileys are renowned for leaking, usually motorway driving they do so

I was always lead to believe notifying an engine swap makes the car more expensive to insure regardless, have you checked before you goto all this hassle?

You can always improvise if not, mirror, phone camera or something if your unsure post a picture up and we'll be able to tell you instantly.

Have you got a dump valve or external wastegate tho

Look at the compressor side of the turbo (not the exhaust side, look into the turbo if it have 4 x double blades it's a standard turbo if it has multiple blade it's a hybrid

No 4 eftes are boxer engines thats why mine always sounds like a scooby if yours sounds like an inline then yer enjins gone probs needs a tune up

Don't worry I got some lead stick on wheel weights, but I think i will be able to balance it perfectly on my cd player for the night until it cools down then it should be perfectly balanced

Going to get the welder out and fix it up broheim might get the oxy acetalene out and heat it up bash it with a hammer then it'll be forged

Crack doesn't help, when you say lag how bad? when does it begin to spool when does it reach it's peak? does it hold it? do you have a boost gauge? more importantly what fuelling/engine management modifications are you running?
