Cheers folks! I have a few extra earths on the engine on things such as the engine block, inlet, FPR etc however I'm not sure if they will actually make some difference. For the battery to have a stronger earth I imagine I would just have to find some earthing spots in the boot, I am going to add a couple when I get a round to tidying the boot up (needs new carpet and a battery box).

Okay, so here's a little update. I advertised my S3 so that I could get the Glanza on the road (no use for 2 cars as mentioned above), 4 days of being on eBay and it was sold to a happy new owner. I didn't waste time getting the Glanza tax'd, it was on the road within about 30 mins after selling the Audi! Good job insurance and MOT were sorted beforehand. Hi Just to those who have fitted this part, once fitted did your old AUX belts fit on the pulley? I've spent hours in the cold fitting mine and the crank pulley isn't like the original one therefore the alternator/water pump pulley belt is now too short and the PS pulley belt is too long!! Is it just me with this problem? So p*ssed off after spending hours in this garage last night and tonight, and I need the car to get somewhere tonight. I have spare brand new OEM Toyota belts and they don't fit either. I'd refit the original pulley if it didn't involve removing two engine mounts as I can

A small update, the car is now running and I've taken it for a test drive a couple of times. All is fine apart from a very small misfire on open throttle, nothing that can't be fixed easy enough hopefully. I fitted a new steering wheel, oil sandwich plate, water temp sensor and air filter relocation kit (after finally ordering a reducer). HKS filter hiding Just some very small things to do now such as connect vac hoses on the wastegate, tidy the injector wires, check earth for the AVCR as its gone off and some other very very small things. Nothing that's stopping the car coming on

You paid that much for Glanza headlights? I paid £140 less than two years ago. There's 2 part numbers for them, one of them cost around £70 each and the other is £100 each. Weird how they are just the same parts though. Back to the topic, you may not need to split them to get rid of the yellowing. Take a look at Sock's Glanza headlight refurb tutorial.

Are you heater controls all electric or manual? If they are manual then it will be more difficult to mess with the cables, if they're all electric you can extend the loom and fit the controls in the glove box easily. Then make a custom panel to fit the headunit where the heaters were.

Hi guys, Another winter and another project, I always get tempted to buy a Starlet to keep me busy over the winter months (as if the yellow one isn't enough) Most of you guys will be familiar with this, it's Kennedy's old 97 Glanza. She runs sweet but needs some attention mainly on the bodywork, the interior is missing some plastic trims but that's nothing to worry about just yet. My plans are to get the bodywork sorted, this will involve a full new ID-Workz front end, a new spoiler, new sideskirts and maybe a rear bumper too. There is a small chance she will be lucky enough for a respray,

Would be impossible to get one to mould from, I'd order one from new and mould it if there was enough interest however I doubt I'd ell more than 5-10.

Vag for sure. Take a look at a Leon TDI, you should get a decent one for £2k. You might pick up a decent Mk4 Golf for that if you're lucky, but as you said they do hold their value better than the Bora.

Wow, I haven't posted in here for 2 months! I have occasionally been doing a bit of work on the car when I can, she is now up and running. I just need to wire up the radiator fan before taking her for a proper drive. The only new parts fitted are a TC short shifter kit, TRD leather gearknob and a set of blue silicone HT leads. Most of the interior is now back in place so it looks relatively tidy (finally). A couple of quick snaps.
