  1. It won't be featured straight away, maybe in the March or April issue. I think it's time to take it back off the road now, as it's more of a headache to drive than it is a pleasure. The following needs doing: Replace alternator Replace PS pump, bracket & fit another new belt Fit new OSF wheel bearing Fix oil leak Find out why the car smells of fuel inside so badly LSD gearbox (if I can source one at a good price) Once all that lot is sorted, the chances are she will be officially up for sale.
  2. Welcome along mate! It will be more expensive to insure a turbo converted UK spec than an imported Starlet GT/Glanza in most cases, so make sure you get some quotes first!
  3. I like where you're going with this, I love how the OEM splitter makes the whole look so many miles better.
  4. They've only got a bad name because of their owners. Otherwise decent cars if they've not been pissed about with and chavved up.
  5. I think Dan507 is on there. I recall him registering to defend Glanzas as the Saxo boys were slating them, poor Dan got slated by them too!
  6. Check out Phil/Nanglebagers old set up, he had a sub where the spare wheel sits on an MDF floor. Weight would be an issue here though I imagine.
  7. Welcome along! Pictures of the RX-7s and Viper please!? Starlet Sportif/CD or SR would be the best for a first car. I had an SR to start with.
  8. Pulsars can be problematic when you start tuning them!
  9. You can run 1 bar on a stock ECU by using a Fuel cut defender and a rising rate fuel pressure regulator. Personally I wouldn't even bother, I'd save for a budget piggyback ECU such as an E-Manage Blue and have the car mapped properly with that. I wouldn't bother unless I had the following mods (as a minimal): Aftermarket manifold/ported stock manifold Ported wastegate Decat Free flowing exhaust FMIC Free flowing air filter (preferably relocated) Is the engine healthy? If it's had a hard life (unregular oil changes etc) then it might be a bit of a risk, but it's always different with differe
  10. It's probably going up to 0.9 because the duty is too high. I set the duty on mine with trial and error, it's never been a fixed number for a certain boost pressure in my experience. Take it to a long road where you can hit full boost, start the duty lower and slowly increase it until it's not going over 0.8.
  11. Gearbox, Samco hoses, engine looms, interior looms, ECU, speedo cluster, map sensor and rear lights all sold.
  12. Don't turn it up to 80% if it's not mapped for it, it could potentially do a lot of damage (hence the previous owner saying only on rare occasions). What other mods does your car have? What maximum boost pressure does it reach?
  13. Definitely looks like a Doobie with an add on. The Livesports lip is not so pointy from the bottom. Not sure I like the front end :s
  14. Try here: http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=47077&hl=&fromsearch=1 Also try your local engineering firm/machine shop, they can usualyl supply the likes of ACL bearings
  15. Would they be tested to check they're safe? Things could get bad if you sold them and they failed in an accident. Also you'd need permission from Nanglebadger for group buys etc, it's not usually permitted for members.
  16. You have NO cover whatsoever, there's no chance the bank will help you get your money back if the seller does a runner. I've done bank transfers with many members on here, like James I'm not running anywhere, and I've only paid members that I know well.
  17. A hell of a lot of work I had them in my old yellow SR, I'm not even sure if it's worth all the messing about if I'm completely honest.
  18. Wallace I can't chop the loom sorry mate, I'll see if I have any other spare looms that I can cut though. Jam spoiler is gone however I can supply brand new ones
  19. Blitz NUR Spec but it's sold I'm afraid. I also have a brand new Varis style bumper that has the bottom grill extended 2" as the car had no fmic. £160 for that.
  20. Now breaking. Everything available, PM/email/call for parts!
  21. She had her photoshoot today, this is the only one (poor) picture I took, the rest will be seen in Jap Performance magazine when they are ready to feature it! Bits sorted/added: OEM front windscreen seal ID-Workz decals from Stick2it Rear screen tint glue finally cleaned off (took me 2 hours in the cold) Centre console tidied (back to stock look) and AVCR mounted Catch tank connected with braided hoses She is going back in the garage and won't be used until the power steering is sorted (it kinda came apart!) and until the oil leak is fixed.
  22. Sorry to hear this, best of luck with the personal stuff!
