  1. Loving the attention to detail, should handle pretty awesome with a good alignment setup now!

    R.I.P. gary

Sorry to hear this, thoughts are with his family and friends. RIP Gary Any idea how it happened Ryan?
  3. Glad you're cracking on with it! Turbo and engine look awesome. Not sure about the White paint on the cylinder head though, black or silver would look much neater!
  4. Good man Lewis, you're not giving up on this! I was doing some research on what power the stock internals can be pushed to and did find that the first things to give in would be the piston rings. I wonder if anyone makes uprated rings that fit the stock pistons? It may be something to look in to, ie. Totalseal or similar. Glad you managed to get home in the end, I'd have seriously offered you a drive down in the diesel as I was free this evening but it was away being valeted. How did you get home in the end then?
  5. I think it went while it was being mapped. I gather that 3rd cylinder gave in at 1.4 bar.
  6. Haha
  7. Looks awesome mate, the front FMIC cutout looks tidy.
  8. Me neither, however the bearings haven't turned up so assembly still can't begin. ;)
  9. I had mine braced, done a good 12k miles with it (my brother has the GT now) and it's going pretty good. That's with genuine Subaru gaskets.
  10. Get your ass in gear, I'm hoping to have the engine dropped in by the start of next week! Would have been sooner if I didn't have to spend the day in Wales tomorrow for a wedding though. ;) I got the headwork done at a bargain price, usually would cost around £300 but a friend of my cousins did me a good deal. PM me about the inlet, I'm not desperate to sell it and would rather keep it however the money would come in handy.
  11. They do the job fine, I'd recommend the mild steel kits over the stainless though.
  12. Strut braces surely help, I don't think C pillar bars and floor braces actually do though.
  13. Sounds like a plan Zac. Prince I'll be back in Birmingham next month, I'll PM you when I'm there. Managed to make a little start on the engine build this evening. Picked these up earlier; Toyota engine gasket set, Toyota oil pump, Gates timing belt Also picked up the head and block from the engineers. The block has been deglazed, so it's ready to build. After a lick of paint of course! Cleaned up for paint Piston ring gaps on the new build = 0.418mm Ring gaps on the previous 4E build = 1.607mm ;) While I was painting the block, my mate gave the pistons a clean up. Block cleaned and painted Cylinder head Polished crank And how the pistons look after a great effort from Usman (my mate who has literally build the whole car with me) Just waiting on the bearings to arrive before assembling the engine, hoping they arrive today.
  14. I didn't see any pictures on it, saw a couple of links but no pictures. Sorted now anyway.
  15. I don't think our moderating team is jealous, what a funny thing to say. Rules are rules, they are there for a reason - partly to protect our members from buying dud items. If you don't like the rules then don't post in the classifieds. Simples.
  16. Cheers Zac, we'll meet up for sure once it's on the road! Quick picture of the beadwork while in progress, 3 angle valve grind was already done which baffled me a little. Maybe the FHE came like this from factory?! They're the only 2 (poor) pictures I managed to take, I'll get more once I have the head back!
  17. I just had a look, a moderator unapproved it due to no pictures. I'll approve it for you now as long as you add pics ASAP!
  18. Cheers mate, appreciate that! You can have a test ride in it if we ever meet at any meets etc. Top man! Yeah Sparky, the head is currently at an engineers being ported and polished, 3 angle valve grinds and valves are being reseated at the same time.
  19. Huge thanks to Jayep91 who sorted me a set of ACL bearings, and I've ordered a new oil pump which means everything should be here by the weekend. A picture update! 4E removed and stripped The engine bay could do with a clean! 4EFTE & 5EFHE pistons with rods, the pistons are in the process of being swapped over Sent these off for a clean too: Leaving me with the new victim! It needs a good clean and a lick of paint as you can see. I'll be taking it to the engineers to have the bores deglazed before painting it. It will most probably go black this time!
  20. Legend, thanks Dave!
  21. I'm looking for the part number for an oil pump which has the seal on the pump, not the block. Can't really search properly as I'm not sure which engine came with this type, was it the early EP82? or maybe all EP82s?
  22. Loving what you're doing with this Amjad!
  23. Yeah, the LSD shorter OS shaft is a nightmare to get hold of. You may have a chance if someone has a buggered gearbox and maybe upgraded to an aftermarket LSD in a non-LSD box.
