I sold the last set and seriously regretted it! Do the Meisters travel too much at the hardest setting too? I may have to change the springs then. I hear you have an amazing set of wheels, get some pictures up!
-
That good enough?
-
Very very nice, Jam rear bumper looks super sweet, as do the wheels!
-
I've done that loads of times before, and will continue to do so. Not really bothered what people think of Rota quality, I've probably had a dozen sets or more and have been happy with every set I've owned. Corey this any better?

Anyone fancy guessing the new wheels?

Monday - filled the GT up with diesel Tuesday - battery was playing up Wednesday - broke down 90 miles away, bought a new battery from Halfords Thursday - barely made it home from Uni, car needs a new alternator which will get done over the weekend Besides all that, not a bad week.

Go for bulbs imo, HID's aren't always that good. I've seen some bulbs that are better than some HID's and they're only around £25. The Philips are meant to be really good, if Nanglebadger sees this he will confirm.

Nice, get some pics of the Teg and JDM RX8. ;) I've always thought the 4 door Tegs look cool. Weird and funky, but still cool!

I'm sure no comments were meant as a personal dig so I hope you haven't taken it to heart. It's nice to see you on UKSC, if you still have the other GT how about some pictures? The car is sold to Lisa, she really liked it when she came to pay for it. The lads who are helping her fix it up know their stuff and have a passion for these cars, and I'm looking forward to seeing how she turns out. Welcome to UKSC anyhow. ;)

Hit and miss with the sideskirts by the sound of it ;) mine went straight on, and redz11 said his fit like a glove too. Sold plenty on eBay too with no comebacks. They were moulded from original sideskirts from Hazzagray, but my supplier says no matter what they will need trimming by the customer as he doesn't know precisely how much needs trimming from the corner where the door shuts. I'm going to email them pictures over to them anyway so that should help in the future.

There's only 2 lights, maybe it's not completely dead but is on it's way out.. 11.9 volts so yeah it's the alternator. Of course not Ollie, I still have the Demo Glanza in progress but I study 120 miles away and the Demo GT is not suitable for the commute as I go home every weekend. My brother has been wanting to return to the Starlet scene and he really wants the GT, I told him he's not having it but I'd rather have a Diesel as it will suit my needs better, so he can have it when he's back from holiday.

Haha, awesome! Hand it in imo, something will good will come out of it in the long for yourself. Well, that's what I believe personally.

Ah right, they tested it with and without the car running, 11.9 both times iirc. I just want to get the car home, I'm gonna p/x it with my brothers Seat Leon Cupra as a tuned/modified/old car isn't serving me well enough for a 240 weekly commute.

Perfect time to buy a Glanza/GT ;)

Nothing super super amazing, and not Super Advans unfortunately ;) but they should look good!

I haven't checked the alternator, I asked the Halfords guys to check it but I don't think they had any idea how to (and nor do I).

Around 2:30-3pm I saw a White Glanza heading in to Birmingham on the M6, it looked stock but very clean.. And a White SR with a loud exhaust and white 5 spoke alloys in Wrexham, North Wales at around 5-6pm tonight, driving past the Halfords store near the town centre. Anyone on here?

Yeah we will get one sorted when the weathers a bit better ;) -
Title says Powerflex Exhaust Mount but the description says Mounts, but for that price I wouldn't expect 2.

The alternator isn't brand new, it came with the car. I fitted a new engine with all ancillaries, but a couple of days later I noticed the alternator was dead so I removed the one off the original engine that came with the car (bottom end damage) and since then it has ran absolutely fine. The engine from in the car is from a 1995 GT, the alternator from a 1993. Any difference in the amps?

Daz I think you're right. Right, update on the problem. I went to the car today, it started up first time and ran well as I let it warm up. As I tried to set off it started stuttering again so I gave it a few revs and it ran absolutely fine. I drove it around locally, went to Halfords for a battery test and it was 11.9 Volts. He said the battery is fine, and that it just needs a good charge. So I started to make my way to North Wales (90 miles or so) and within the first ten miles, the battery light showed up again. I continued the journey with the CD player and other electrics off, and it was driving fine, no misfires etc so that bit of diesel is doing no harm, apart from causing a bit of smoke sometimes. If I accelerated the car, it would hesitate and the battery light would flash. I arrived at Wales and put the fault down to the poor earth. I went to Halfords, bought some proper clamps and put 2 earths on, one from the gearbox and one from the chassis (both original earths). It seemed fine so I set off, but the battery light came on within 5 minutes of driving away. Back to Halfords, bought a new battery and it ran absolutely fine. Made my way back to Birmingham, after 70 miles or so, the battery light came back on again. In those 70 miles the car drove absolutely fine, it still had half a tank of fuel which includes some of the diesel. I drove it slowly, the headlights were barely working and it was dark. It started to completely die out at the end of the road I live on so I turned the headlights off and very luckily parked the car. I allowed it to cool for 5 minutes, turned it off then tried to turn it back on again, but it's dead again. So how can that not be the alternator?!?!

It's sorted now, started first time! Inshallah it will be okay, gonna take it up and down the motorway to burn the bit of diesel that's in there! -

I think the alternators buggered, see my other thread for more info. If your free at 1:30 would you mind coming back to Curzon street so I can try to start it up with jump leads using your car? None of my mates have cars here! -

Haha, shame it's broken down.
