You are not meant to mix different types of anti freeze as far as I know. Fill it with water, run the engine then drain it all out and fill with new coolant.

Yes, a little. I assembled the engine block with the crank, pistons, rods and oil pump a few weeks ago after work. I need to get the cylinder head cleaned and rebuilt before fitting it to the block, I'm not having any work done to the head yet though. A quick picture of how it looks now: It won't be fitted to the car until I have a bigger unit which shouldn't be too long now I hope.

Awesome work, that tank looks ace. Polish it up or have it powder coated the same colour as the cam cover imo. This is probably the best engine bay on the forum imo (no offence to all the other awesome looking bays)!

Phil, did you get the DPF/EGR issue sorted? I think £400 is a good investment as it'll save you a lot of ball ache in the long run, the DPF filters are nothing but a pain and I'm sure your Alfa friends have already mentioned that.
