Yeah agree with trisk the 82 ones are more common and tend to be slightly cheaper. There have been a few for 91's over the last few months which suggest to me you could be waiting a while.

Aye am gna fiddle about with the actuator the only thing tht makes me doubt tht was was the week between doing the flywheel and the turbo it had the standard actuator on it and was still actng the same could be pure coincidence but ill give every idea a try mate.
-
I kinda have mate but its just the basic TMIC with the 2 tiny rubber pipes. Plus it makes boost higher through the revs. That could be it creeping due to the TMIC though i suppose. But im sure the hoses are sealed and were fine before, Im defo going to have to give it another good check but im genuinely confused.

Nice front end ... bad sides .... terrible rear. Kinda funky if your into that thing. And the fact it burns fuel makes 0% emissions virtually impossible. May just mean its tax exempt due to low emissions.

Where do we start.... So fitted my turbo and finally all was good. Then me and Dave EP fitted my lightweight flywheel. We had the standard TMIC off when doing this to give us more space. When we finished off and refitted it all I drove the car and noticed it wasnt making boost anywhere near the same. I started to undo the de-cat when we were trying to get the gearbox back on because the brace was in the way but cudnt get the final bolt undone so left it on. I assumed there was a small boost leak from somewhere causing this so never worried as i planned to take the turbo off again for some final work. So the next week the turbo came off got the work done now its back on everything refitted nice and tight and there is still massive lag. I'm hitting about 0.3 bar at 3000rpm and not hitting 0.6 to 0.7 untill around 4-4.5krpm. I havent gave everything a good check and fitted an adjustable actuator for the 1st time when i refitted the turbo I thought it could be down to the actuator but surely this would just cause lower boost and not lag? Is there any small vac pipes I could have over looked that could be causing this?? Whats your suggestions? Cheers Guys.

30 bangers or sumthin. Aye head bolts cud be used again at a push but re using a gasket is a no no. Even still id never re use bolts its really no worth the hassle for a few quid.
-
Dave. Get your head skimmed, get a new gasket and head bolts. Anyone who says otherwise is talking pish its not worth the hassle trying to re-use this kinda stuff. I assumed you had already had all this done or i woulda said in the 1st place. If you dont know where to get it skimmed ill show you a place in dton ive have 100s of head done there.

I've got a bonnet but wud still need a bit of work jus depends how bad urs is.

I have had larger custom comp wheel on my tongs also a larger exhaust wheel with the housing bored out. You could do the same. Id advise having the hot pipe exit on the comp side of the turbo bored out aswell as thats the main restrictor on the CT9 with that gone you could get lots of boost and rapid spool.
-
It all depends on your exhaust. If you have an aftermarket exhuast where the bore is 2.5inch then how can a gasket for a 2" or 1.5" bore work. It just simply wont. Also the faces of the flanges on the majority of decats and aftermarket decats are flat. These need a recess and a bit of pipe sticking out in the system for them to sit in. This is what your looking for: http://www.camskill....Turbo_EP82_EP91
-
Thats only for a stock system. There isnt a gasket for aftermarket systems. There is one available from camskill but its not needed.
-
Have a custom ct9 hybrid turbo built get best of both worlds. It has been done in the past. I also have a custom Tongs ct9 on mine unmapped at 0.6 bar and it goes like a bitch. Where a Std CT9 is running out of puff at 6000rpm mines is just getting going and feels like the rev range isnt long enough.
-
There isnt a gasket in there. Camskill do offer one but its not necessary just use paste.

Could have like button for comments and favourite for threads. The like button would reduce congestion on threads and the favourite would help people who see a thread with info on it they need but may not be able to find again at a later date.

Id contact a MOD on tgtt 1stly and they should contact the user then Id persist with trying to contact the seller. Ask for a phone number from him iron out the details of his courier service. Courier should theoretically redeliver the next day. U dont have an attempted delivery card because they probably have not attempted to deliver. All failing id open a paypal dispute sooner rather than later.

You need your specs on paul mate thats the most hideous Gt i think ive ever seen.
-
Awryt I see lol thats no too bad then should be spot on then mate. Tbh as long as these cars are solid chassis wise and theres no rust the engines are easy enough should anything go wrong. Hamilton aye a work up that neck of the woods.
-
Its an ep91 mate ep 82s are gts. What sort of engine work has he done do you not have a spec list? When someone says tht starts the warning bells goin off for me. I meant where in Glasgow u from lol.
-
Where abouts mate? Welcome along hope you get the starlet you wont look back
-
Lol how do you track these down haha
-
Hmmmmm lol. No boostin properly but the turbos comin off the end of this week to go up and get finished off so that will be sorted after i put it back on. Some sorta grindin type noise when am turnin. Am hoping weev just bent the back plates when we were wrestling with the hubs. Went and double checked everythin for tightness was all good apart from the jubilee clips and the thick earth on to the gearbox mount. Clutch feels a bit better tho so thats a bonus lol. Still needty get that slave on because its no as sensitive as I'd like. Wit you doin the nyt? Could be doin with grabbin ma tools at somepoint lol. You get ma txt the other nyt aye?
