The value went up as he might not be in a rush to sell lol. If its H_D's old car and he says its worth the 1500 then fair enough the owner could have paid a score for it and be asking 2 grand it's all down to anyone's selling circumstances. Also if you go to view a car you dont pay the asking price so maybe hes asking 1500 to get back the 1300 he paid.
Pretty sure the ebay ones can be fitted one way or another without cutting the bumper. Im just having a stab in the dark but if you have no aircon and a civic rad you'd probably be able to squeeze most in there one way or another.
Have you got an air filter down near the front of the car that will cause boost creep in this weather. If not then whip off your turbo and port the w/g that's the next issue.
Couldn't agree with this more. As far as for the time they were made. I say if you buy a good one with relative mileage and you werent to modify it then you would have relatively trouble free motoring. I drove mine for around 3 years standard with 0 problems. If you know your stuff when buying your car thats the key. If your not so clued up then you'll have problems.
Its literally just hitting fuel cut and no more if its stuttering. If you properly hit fuel cut you'd know all about it. Mine used to hit it in cold weather under heavy acceleration and its like hitting a brick wall.
I dont know where you get the idea that there is any kind of reliability issue with starlets. I've owned about 10 cars and out of them all my starlet is by far the most reliable of them all. ( That's including a 5 year old BMW ) If you buy a standard fresh import with very few mods it will be bulletproof. The 4e engine is one of the best engines toyota has ever produced. If you want more power a ct9 at 1 bar with supporting mods will also cause very very little hassle. They are also extremely good on fuel its still a 1.3. Alot of folk think when they are tuned they drink fuel they don't at all for a start they have a tiny fuel tank. If you compared any car with similar power outputs (diesels aside) I would put my house on it that starlets would be up there for economy. Baring in mind most people make 200 bhp and there is absolutely no other 1.3's that make that in production. I had a Corsa VXR before <<<<hence the pic. They are 200bhp and they are shocking for fuel I mean shocking. Without a doubt the most hated of all my cars.
Think we can safely say that is absolutely hanging. I didnt know any glanzas came with keep fit windows. Or is this not only a riot but an imposter at the same time lol? Edit: its an imposter wing mirrors just gave it away lol.
If it's not already got alot of mods on it. It wont be worth 3k. Maybe 2-2.5k max in good nick with right bumper bonnet. Manual conversion is only financially viable if you are keeping it for yourself as it doesn't really increase the value of the car greatly only the salability
You can get forged rods from maxspeedingrods.co.uk for like 200 quid why risk using 2nd hand miz and match when you can get a new set for as little as that lol.
Bump £200 for the mani £50 for ct9 decat £100 for TD04 stuff ( Adapter, De-cat, oil feed and return ) Or make me sensible offers. If someone wants the whole lot I'll take £300 as I want to get my own build moving and this is holding me back.
A bad day is no excuse for this. He paid good money for a service on 2 seperate occaisions. Bottom line is the man either wasn't capable or had faulty tools probably the latter.
