thought's on speedvision hybrid ct9?
StuDoc 72 replied to phil_boyd's topic in Intake, Turbo & Exhaust
I have a tongs on mine and as said above I was led to believe they were the superior turbo. I had mine modified with a bigger comp wheel and exhaust wheel and Ive been yet to run over stock boost. That said even stock boost was night and day compared to a standard ct9. You could always go TD04 if you really wanted to set a new trend lol. -
http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/7113361.htm Was down to £25 last week but its went back up to normal price

You can buy a dremmel kit for argos for 25 quid comes with the tool and like 150 attachments. As long as your dremmel spins mate just get some decent little cutting disks and it will work just lovely.

I bought this kit although when I bought it I think it was cheaper http://www.hids4u.co.uk/h4-35w-slim-proplus-bi-xenon-hid-conversion-kit.html The only thing I can say is you pay for a service with this kit. I was given a year or so's guarantee and it was great. The ballast ( which is the bit that looks like an ECU. Needs to be screwed or stuck in place. If its loose then it will fail and need to be replaced. This company had replacements on my doorstep in days. Also when my main beam didnt work correctly they were very helpful in sending out the manual switches for the ballasts. Arnold the bulbs that came with my kit are the same as the ones you have just shown. Only thing I can see is that one is 35W and one is 55W which leads me to pointing back to what was said earlier in the thread about the light going stray. You might just be more likely to get unwanted attention with the stronger bulbs.

No there farrrrrr too blue you'll get pulled every 5 mins.

Take it off.....aim for the nearest bin with it. Worst mod ever.
-
So should a de-cat but everyone has one.

I know folk can get issues with them and i have had folk flash me but only on the motorway at night time. Apart from that ive not had any actual issues.

It doesn't mate the flange is different. TBH as long as the penny could open a little bit it can let the pressure out so it shouldnt matter.
-
You could try that turbo but its got a little bit of play id get another one for piece of mind. Then it just bolts onto your CT9 manifold, So long as you have an FMIC then you could run it at .5 bar safely. Thats pretty much the minimum required. Only stumbling block I can see is the decat plate covers the internal w/g so you would probably need to run ext w/g.

My HID's were a massive improvement aswell. www.hids4u.co.uk is where I got mine and you get a warranty incase anything goes wrong you need the ones for H4 bulbs.

Take the wheel off undo the hub nut once undone give it a whack with a leather mallet not a hammer just so the cv joint moves in and out like sexy time, take the nut of the balljoint use a long bar to prize the arm down and the ball joint will come out the hub pull the hub towards you but hold the cv joint from behind so it comes out then push the hub to the side and u will have your driveshaft and cv joint exposed, you need to be careful tho because u can easily pull the driveshaft out the gearbox and u dont want that its mess and smells of cat piss. Once uve done that cut off the old cv boot and clear away the dirty grease and where the driveshaft goes into the cv joint there will be a circlip. Use long nose pliers to squeeze the open end together and use that mallet again to knock the cv off the shaft. Now jus stick the new one on it and jobs a good un. Enjoy. If your not mechanically minded then invite some people to come watch it will be amusing. Goodluck.

Nice one mate cheers for the other link. Cherry where did you get your power supply tbh id rather mine on blue and bright constantly anyway if it means they are reliable.

Thats the ones that I have but mine do change colour and do have a dimmer.....well they should when they work but right now I think the sealed capacitor part has went faulty either that or the dimmer part. Thats why im in search of these parts or a cheaper set like the ones linked above just so I can use the donor parts.

Hopefully they use the same wiring arrangement. Cheers mate

0.75 is fuel cut I'm sure....its been a while so just get it about 0.7 as youll make more pressure in the winter so if its just before fuel cut in the summer it defo will hit it in the winter and its an absolute pain in the hole. So just retard the pressure a bit more since its summer go for about 0.65-0.7.
