  1. yeah hopefully, he'll more than likely be making me an exhaust manifold first, really long runners. the quality of his work is amazing, did you see the 1jz=gte rx-7?
  2. well i saw a very respectable looking glanza today and had meaningful radiator based discussions with the man there. my question to you, whom be that man on the forum?
  3. just seen this in the metal today, it looks a bit mental! can't wait to see it on the road.
  4. awesome stance now, defo better than previous. the wheels suit this down to a tea
  5. the Paseo's present arrangement: can you guess what it was in before mine?
  6. awesome, info. be excellent for any basic paseo modding questions

    Engine Stand

one in a large cupboard on some wood. the other (temporarily) on a pallet out side concealed beneath layers of tarpaulin.
  9. if you don't want a simple engine mod that'll work N/A engines and could be carried over to a turbo engine try the old tubular corolla manifold. dead simple to do as it's a straight swap.
  10. see, all these competing rally teams need to do is to get an ass out on a corner and distract the opposition!
  11. that's what i'm think as i've stopped it from running uber rich by re-jigging the manifold tap off- lines. You reckon it might be a cause of to much air in the mid range where it didn't use to get it before? it's not detting towards the top end.
  12. in that case has anyone ever had det/knock/pinking what does that sound like for these engines? as i'm really running out of idea as to what it could be. i don't want to do any examinations that are too invasive yet as this is my daily drive
  13. right well now i've gotten used to the ITB noises i have started to hear an erratic noise which comes on under medium to almost full load when accelerating. it's not present at idle or lifting off, sounds like early on set of big end failure to me but i need a second opinion. its sound as though it's definitely coming from the engine as opposed to CV joint area. any one on here driven/driving big end failures? help appreciated
  14. this might sound dim but where does one fine a 3E-TE flywheel?
  15. yep and the supra jza80 Twin Turbo flows even more than the GT4 pump
  16. the ITB's doing there thing:
  17. provided i can get the time off work (and what her indoors says) i'm hoping so though
  18. does the bonnet even close, that's an absolute beast of a top mount. the new rim colour sets it off quite nicely i think.
  19. if your lucky the rubber bung for the throttle cable holder will still be on, then you can jam the standard cable on it alright.
  20. Latest Update, re jigging the 'tap off' lines and i think i've nailed the correct setup. my most recent mistake was leaving the crank case breather connected to the intake manifold lines. i'm all for crankcase breathing and agreed that yes it's better to have the vapours sucked out then to leak out after the pressure built up. however due to the high vacuum caused from the ITB setup i was actually leaking air in through my breather, into the rocker cover and through into the manifold. this caused my MAP sensor to read partially open when the TPS read shut. having re plumbed that the response i
  21. has anyone thought of running a GT4 fuel pump. they look a straight swap and should flow more than enough for a TD04 kit. pulled from the GT4oc site: stock ST205 / (JZA80 N/A) fuel pump 180 lph @ 43psi @ 12volts 225 lph @ 43psi @ 14v (estimated) Walbro Fuel Pump 213 lph @ 40 PSI @ 12 volts 255 lph @ 40 PSI @ 13.5 volts
  22. awesome, someone said stickers
  23. i'm easy through august, but after that not so sure, don't mind evening or weekends (not very helpful really was i?)
  24. tubular exhaust manifold and shortened intake manifold, eventually aftermarket ECU to go with the 265cc injectors i acquired from an MX5 that's all for the now, oh i almost forgot, by the end of this week hopefully it'll be a six speed as well.
