speak to jayep91 he had 5e camshaft problems, get him to have a listen of your vid and he'll be able to tell you whether it is definately camshafts you can hear or not.

tis looking very schweet!

caution! OEM toyota re-grounds do not hold up well (mainly -FE series head regrinds). i speak from experince, had a set of 4A-FE cams reground (done professionally, he even had to make up a special chuck because of the shape of the camshaft ends) to 290 duration and had arrow precision custom shims made for the application. once installed this sounded mental on idle but after only 300 miles (not even run in) the soft ferrous camshafts had been eaten by the hardened shims (£300 worth of shims!). the engineer who ground my cams said he was never going to do a set again because they were

shouldn't have to bridge anything, just move the dizzy far enough that even when the ECU tries to compensate for the shift it's been advanced/retarded outside of the variable limits of the ECU

got the be timed, for safety, it's 100% worth doing. set the engine to TDC for piston 1 and then use the timing marks (be careful not to mix ups the timing marks with the installation marks, they look similar).

looking awesome, helps me guess what it's going to look like in may bay (except mine's filthier)

nor normally a fan of vauxhalls but your corsa is very tidy

5E-FHE does indeed have an ecu set for 7800 in conjunction with high lift cams and higher compression internals. it should be noted that 5E-FE pistons are a different shape to 4E-FE si it would be i'll advised to use 5E-FHE pistons in a 4E eninge. This is because the 5E pistons aren't domed like the 4E ones on another note, the later corolla 4E-FE (with twin coil packs, tubular manifold) is stated to have 85bhp out of the box, it also has a rev limit around 6800 so that's nice and high so the later internals are up for it. If it's like the last generation 4A-FE engine (which is also in the sa

loosen two bolts, PAS tension and alternator tensioner, jiggle them off and then replace in turn. easy (having said that is is easier to get too with out the intake manifold attached.

check this link, it's not a world away from you: linky!

@ the quiet achiever - the last corolla to have the 4e-fe had twin coil packs as standard, however you'd need the crank angle sensor form the same block as well as the dizzy blanking plug for the head. not to mention the corresponding ecu (if not already using after-market) [oh and on a side note, riko collected the ITB's yesterday afternoon] And for information of the N/A guys, i'd advise against going 5E for tuning N/A it does not like to rev, as the internals are too tall, much better to stick with the square 4E arrangement. Also, as a cheaper alternative to the TRD headgasket get a lat

ah, that is very different
-
good to know, cheers for that rich. also for you 4 paw guys, the rear shocks, how much shorter than standard are they?
-
do you see a front bumper and slam panel?
-
oh really? hmm, i think i might have whatever is left of it.
-
well, i've had a look around and not had much luck in finding bits. so i was hoping someone on here might be able to help. as the title i'm looking for the rear axle for an ep95, but would settle for an ep85 one (especially if some one can confirm that they are the same part).

D2's were crap? why's that, too stiff for uk roads? or did they not go low enough.
-
yes yes, i know too busy fitting stickers!
-
so there are meant to be 2, damn! i might need one of those aswell then, add it to the list!

well i recently acquired a genuine toyota paseo sun roof bag from ebay for the princely sum of £3.35 however it states on the instructions to fit it to the 'anchors' which i have found one of in my boot, and a space where the second could be, do you have one or two in your boot:

you wouldn't happen to have any leftover pistons now would you?
