  1. which 4efte setup are you running, as it would help. the ep91 has a different ecu pinout to the ep82
  2. it's normally and aftermarket fit on these car, very unlikely that your corolla has a brake bias control as it should already be built into the master cylinder.
  3. my first port of call would have been to change the fluid. a trait of brake fluid is to absorb moisture so after a year or two it's not good anymore. it might be worth changing the brake servo hose to be safe.
  4. hmm, where this time? i think we should make it fairer for the salisbury/andover way lot we might want to meet closer to there?
  5. came across one, where? i reckon it would work easily if you retro fitted the frog eye corolla 4efe ecu, that runs twin coil packs.
  6. just drop a starlet 4e-fe in there for the time being, readily available it will run on the 5E-FE ecu and gubbins. ebay engine
  7. £40 for the ecu itself, we were just trying to organise some postage.
  8. should just swap in and out matey, contact rmsnoel in here. let him know that i'd rather you have it as your need is greater!
  9. don't bother swapping it, there is a guy in ireland selling a 5EFHE ecu i was going ot buy it but you need it more. the HE roughly stands for higher compression. the engine is about 15 bhp more powerful with the correct bobbins (ecu etc) and hes a much higher redline too.
  10. low oil and driving hard, sounds very much like a spun bearing situation, as stated before it's a minimum if checking the crank bearing to see if it's ben scored (probably will have been which means regrind/swapped crank and the offending con rod too). no amount of service will make that go away unfortunately, do not drive it anywhere or run the engine. it will only make it worse. the earlier you strip it down and check the more of the engine can be saved.
  11. if it's a standard lip i'll take it too unless you have plans for it?
  12. i'll pick some up in green tomorrow if you've got 'em?
  13. shiney blue hoses. i saw a cusco panhard rod on ebay the other day, it made me think if this build.
  14. spent time dreaming of a supercharger conversion for the paseo utilising bits of gt, but it ain't going to happen (there's a td04 in my garage).
  15. glad to see you going back the the 6 speeder (6 speed FTW!) on a side note, tyou can get away with the starlet shifter cables if you trim 15mm off the corolla gear linakge mount on the box (that's what i did to get it one the paseo). i'm glad you're getting her back on the road too and that she drive with a turbo, it's makes me worry less about my impending TD04 conversion shredding the box. awesome thread, more pictures please!
  16. yep thats the right kind of thing
  17. they are twin entry turbos, which is where the confusion sometimes come from. it's been an absolute b***ache trying to get one in my corolla, fwd was easy enough (just kept eating clutches) so now i'm going 4WD. bearing in mind space is tight in the corolla so you have not much luck squeezing the 3s in the starlet's tiny bay.
  18. could try the 4ag club, lot's of corolla's on there. also i have had the paseo on a ramp and unfortunately there is no way the frog-eye rear subframe will fit, i'm going to have the fabricate something onto it.
  19. late i know but here are some photo's form the last meet: and the other attendee:
  20. wheels look very toidy, as does the steering wheel
  21. yeah i got some pics but have put my camera in a safe place after i got back. as soon as it reveals it's location to me i will put them on t'interweb
  22. erm, don't know about that, the wheel base on the frog eye is far wider, was going to get some cut and shut arms made up. will let you know of course.
  23. wheel base is a little larger on the bug eye corolla i think, similar but not the same
  24. good shout jpgt, twas a good meet, nice to put some faces to names. a nice variety of metal aswell. i'll get some pics up later.
