Yeah thats fine on the radiator, i would be more worried about ensuring your not still using the standard manifold, its got a restriction in one of the runners which means if you crank the boost up past standard without either removing restriction or upgrading manifold it will melt a piston. Also to run more than standard boost you need to get your fueling setup correct, you cant do it just by the psi on the regulator as every car is different, you either need to do it with a rolling road session or using a wideband air/fuel ratio sensor. dont fuck around with it until you have done this read the wiki file on how to get 200hp safely guide on here by socks

Take all the ignition items off, clean them up, spray them with wd40 and put them back on, it will also be worth while gapping your plugs while they are out. If it still keeps doing it then you will need to look at changing the rotor arm, dizzy, plugs and probably worth while servicing it and changing filter and plugs if not done recently.

Ok so i nearly punched my own front windscreen through in anger last night because i couldnt get my gearbox back onto the car on my own. It was just too fuckin heavy and an awkward shape to lift it into position. Tried to put a jack under it but the whole thing was just wobbling about and being a complete cunt. I havent got a hoist so this is proving to be a bit of a twat. I gave up last night in a bad mood because i couldnt do it, can someone give me some hints on how they got it back in, or is it a 2 man job after all Craig

Seen this noise before, its the camcover believe it or not tapping against the oil pump pulley. I have had problems with mine and its the exact same noise. To test to see if is before taking it off, with the engine running push with your hand against the lower bottom right side of the cover just above the crank pulley. You want to be pushing the section which has the oil pump gear behind the cover (it will be indenteted on the cover) push it and i bet the noise changes or vanishes Its just down to the cover not seating correctly against the pump, makes the exact same noise!!

Yes you need the tercel flywheel it fits a 5e bolt pattern and takes 4e cluth.

Seen this happen so many times, most common engine failure on these. Too much boost on stock pistons!

Mine has rusted in exactly the same place, although mine is worse than yours, but its nothing to difficult to repair. that only shows the splines on the side which came out, you cant see the other side so you cant tell. Wallace sounds like he has got a massive array of tools in work so i have no doubt he has the best chance to fix it.

anyone know how much a gearbox weighs dry?

Well just a bit more history on it, 12 months ago my gearbox started popping out of 5th gear, so i took it off with the intention of swapping out the LSD to a new box i had bought. This is when i realised i couldnt get the cup out, in the end i took the 5th gear off my good box and repaired the one in the pictures above. That way i could still use the box. 12 months on the box was fixed but it started to crunch in gears on changing, so again i decided to pull the box and have another go. Same problem the cup just wont pop out. But this shows the diff is fully working and i was using it on track at Japfest
