  1. I'll be looking forward to giving you a dabble on this track sparky!! ha ha, i was loving it!! quality vid:)
  2. Ah i see now why they use those civic radiators, purely so its frees up space in front of the manifold to put bigger turbos etc on Thanks for that though, definetly somthing i might consider buying
  3. After my car overheated and damaged its self at Trax after some agressive driving, I have come to the conclusion that the current rad setup isnt up to the job. I dont think any car should be able to overheat its self by driving quick. I currently have got a half width radiator but its double core, but i think this is shit because its effectively got half the surface area for air to pass over. Can someone please send me in the right direction to get a rad which is big enough to stop any future overheating problems when im on track. I have heard that civic radiators are a popular one, is this
  4. Yeah his cars like a rocket, im defo gonna be up for chasing him this year!!
  5. This is on my list of tracks to do, you can deffo put my name down in my starlet and also my mate in his clio sport, i dont mind doing either day and would take work off for it if need be 1) Taggy 2) Stokedkid
  6. Cool, spray it is then now i just got to mask it all up!
  7. Taken my gearbox off yesterday and i got straight to work on it, it was so dirty when i took it out it looked like it was ready for the skip! I had originally intended to paint it with VHT aluminum paint which i just bought, but when i cleaned it up and polished the crap off it with a drill and wire bit, i actually started to like the look of it. There is loads more to do on it in the tight bits, but im just wondering if its worth painting it. What you reckon Before, extremly oily and dirty 2 hours in cleaning with GUNK and a wire drill bit Its coming up nice, hmmm spray paint it guys
  8. i got a spare rear motor unit if you want it cheap, took it off my car while i was going mad chopping stuff out, £10 posted and its yours.
  9. I know if we send him some business his way he will definetly give us club discount, he would appreciate the work too. Do you have an image of what you would like on your roof, i can get a price for you. He can either print it off and send to you to fit your self or he can do it.
  10. His website is here, i did a rally before and he did a load of stuff for me, mates rates too http://www.hansign.co.uk/
  11. Yeah i'll find out for you, hes done an awsome job before. Seamless so its impossible to tell what colour your car originally was! i just found a load here http://www.modernimage.net/_e/page/1028/Cu...l_Car_Wraps.htm i quite like the one with the stars and the red bull one is pritty cool i actually really like this!
  12. I am trying to come up with some ideas on wrapping my starlet. So thought i would ask for some suggestions, the paintwork on mine is a bit dull so a wrap seems a good way to give my car a nice shiny lease of life. I thought about going for a whole Jap anime artwork theme, but i have also seen some nice custom jobs they use on track cars. Can anyone help me with some ideas, I think i am definetly going to have a huge pedo bear on the roof what ever happens lol I am going to see my mate about the wrap soon, so it would be useful if i had some suggestions to take with me.
  13. I packed them full of grease again but they still click all the time, so think there fooked! Looks like i will need to replace them
  14. My cars CV boots had come undone and spat all the grease everywhere, only problem now is that the bearings inside the boots have worn as there was no lube and they now creek and click when i pull away from a stand still. Obviously there quite chunky pieces of metal, do i need to buy complete new drive shafts, or is there a way to replace the bearings on them. I noticed you can replace the parts which stick into the gearbox, but i think its the bearings inside those green plastic cup things have had it. How do i repair this?
  15. get a timing light and check the markings on the side of the engine and make sure its at 10 degrees
  16. Cheers Sparky Its the feedback that keeps you motivated to do it I have got tomorrow off work too (was my birthday yesterday) so took off the Friday and Monday. Going to get some gunk and give it the cleaning of its life. Do i need to use any particular paint for the gearbox when i spray it? Im just gonna rattle can it. I am just wondering what colour to do it ;)
  17. Taggy has been busy again this weekend (see build thread) engine is now out and I am going to go mental with it now cleaning the entire bay and spraying everything to make it look new. So work to do at the moment 1. Collect new engine shown on the 8th Feb 2. Clean up engine bay 3. Clean engine and gearbox 4. Spray gearbox silver and rocker cover somthing mad, same with engine 5. Fit Quaiffe LSD to gearbox 6. Look into getting car wrapped So that alone is gonna keep me busy for a couple of months so i will keep you updated how i get on.
  18. My mate has been taking the piss out of me because i keep refering to my "nemesis" every time on on track, i think hes in the club but his starlet is clearly quicker than mine in the straight and my mate has been winding me up as im always on about it. This is me in the first vid, his car is the white one in front, this is a good vid of me not trying not to let some grandad past in his family wagon lol! bloody ct9 didnt have enought power in the straight! You can see my nemesis clearly in this vid though, who is he on the club? I want to ask what hes running. hes in the white starlet wit
  19. Yes i already have an uprated Walbro fuel pump Jeeez so i got half the club telling me the TD04 is to laggy for track use and then the other half saying its not! I am none the wiser at the moment lol One problem i did have though on track was that although it was bloody rapid, i could have done with some more beans in the straights. If i just keep it above 4000rpm surely this wil solve thr problem of spool up time, who drives with low revs on track??
  20. That is sweet news, well in that case I have got two spare mint CT9a turbos for sale, excellent condition and no play what so ever. What RPM do they spool up compared to a ct9?
  21. well i have got a a SARD RRFPR and a Greddy FCD fitted already, so can i just stick a tdo4 on and get it rolling roaded to 200bhp running lower boost, this will be using the stock injectors also. At least i have the option to get more power in the future then. What safe bhp can you run without going forged?
  22. Am i right in saying to run a TD04 I have to buy a new ecu?
  23. i think i am going to go down the road of Socks wisdom, true its for track so less spool up time is best Normally i would have spent some money on the performance upgrade, but i have got so much to do in so little time for Japfest I have got to buy the replacement engine (paying deposit for it today) Quaiffe LSD Oil Cooler New dials new track tyres that alone is a good few grand so money is a bit tight (dont tell the mrs im spending all this as im getting married this year too lol) Where can i get one of these plug and play ECU's and how much are they? Craig
  24. Thats my dielema, i will be happy with the car making 200bhp, i guess its more of a round figure im happy with Plus i think its about what i want for it on track. Whats the easiest way for me to get the extra 15hp from my current setup with the least cost and least amount of parts which need to be changed. Can i achieve this with the stock ECU or would i need to buy one for 200hp?
  25. ah sweet, somthing else for me to sleep on tonight lol
