  1. If you take the turbo off, you can rotate either side of the turbo with a bit of handy work, take a look at "how to rotate a turbo" threads
  2. If someone could post up a pic of their Prosport gauge with a pic of the rear, i need to find out the wire positive and negative for the power on the back, and also the oil temp sender, i need to know what pins it plugs into there are 4 pins, but only 2 are used (2 wires) which 2 pins are used, and what colours
  3. Hi I have bought a set of Prosport Premium Guages, boost, oil temp, oil pressure, but i have a bit of a problem, a couple of the wires are either broken or missing. Here is my oil pressure with what i presume the connector is daisy chain "in" at the top left, and daisy chain out top right, these are ok, but below, bottom left is a two pin connector, i believe this is the power, i am missing this connector, can someone tell me which pin is positive and negative please? Finally the bottom right connector looks like the input for what ever sender is attached, this is ok on the two other dials
  4. Mine makes a similar noise, its just the belts driving the pumps, alternator etc. I wouldnt worry about it, just check your belts are in good condition, including your cam belt.
  5. Hey Checked with the other packages i sent out that day and they have arrived, for some reason yours have gone walkies Its insured but for the sake of £10 i cant be arsed with the paper work for it. I'll send you a refund today Tag
  6. Ok so the oil Banjo i ordered from the net which was M10 x 1.25 doesnt fit into my TD04, feels like the thread is incorrect. Does anyone knoe what other sizes it could be? maybe M10 x 1 or M10 x 1.5? anyone know, its a bit of a pain in the ass this!!
  7. As long as the wiring is fine it will no doubt be the sensor, i think there fairly inexpensive to replace. Just replace it, they should do one at Camskill, google it. No your turbo wouldnt have any effect on that ;)
  8. Does anyone know where i can purchase shims for my Quaife LSD in my box, seems there is a bit of a gap between the casing and the bearing and need to fill this. I remeber Jozinobi saying hes bought them before, but his inbox is full all the time and i cant ask him. Anyone know what size as well to get?
  9. God i am so gutted I cant go to this show this year, went to go pay for it all then realised the weekend its on is the same as my bloody Stag party to Budapest!! So while your all pervin on birds with short skirts and hotpants, my mates will no doubt have me wearing one walking around town steaming out of my head, lol good times!
  10. Yeah i remember it was running really shit then, the guy who rebuilt my head bloody put it back together with the timing out by a tooth! Which is why it was going crap I cant wait too, be good to get out on track with you
  11. Updated pics and info added - Sprayed the LSD gearbox ready to go back in, im so close now i am dreaming track days!!
  12. Now in the market for buying some additional instruments, i think oil temp and oil pressure and water temp are the main ones unless you have any other suggestions. Think i would prefer digital ones with some kind of warning ilumination when certain levels have been reached, its easy not to notice on track in the heat of the moment and cost me my engine last year, dont want the same to happen again. Anyone know any ones, i dont want to spend loads on them, just somthing thats functional will do.
  13. Looking to pay someone to do me a huge Pedo bear for my roof on my starlet, will butt up against the rear of my roof, then probably take up half to three quarters of it with a pedo bear pic http://www.google.co.uk/imgres?imgurl=http...259&bih=615 like that one, or there is another one somewhere with his eyes bulging out if you think you can help me out let me know
  14. Realised i need to rotate both ends of this turbo to get it to work in my starlet, i dont have a tool to get the snap ring off and it looks like a bit of a monster! Can someone tell me what tool is best to get it off with and where to pick one up, i am guessing i need one with some good leverage!
  15. Not at the minute, im concentrating on getting the LSD and TD04 setup first, then once its running properly, i want to make the engine bay look nice this year so want all nice coloured hoses, vacume pipes, rocker etc I'll go mad choppin things out again once im happy with it.
  16. Added more info, things are starting to happen now. I have sold loads of the CT9 stuff i didnt need, so i have got my TD04 bits all on order. Once thats sorted i think i fancy a nice colour for the rocker
  17. Like the look of this rocker cover, will it be ok on my starlet GT, i noticed the breather isnt in the same place as mine, is this a N/A rocker cover or somthing, just need to know if its ok to use on a turbo 4efte http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index....showtopic=38763
  18. If you want real grip go for R888 or Yoko A048's, you can get em cheap part worn, thats what i do for my track tyres
  19. I have bought a TD04 Turbo and the advert said it was 5g, is this normal for a td04? what G is a ct9?
  20. I have been trying to get someone to fit my quaiffe LSD to my stock box, (its out of car already) but my local gearbox place in Swansea quoted me £130 to do it which i think is a complete ripp off. I thought maybe about £70, not double that. Can anyone help me fit it if i pay them, or know anyone who can do it. I spoke to my friend about fitting it but he said you would need to get it shimmed properly, otherwise you could have problems when it goes back together.
  21. I was told that even though the GT and Glanza use the same 4efte engine, the GT version of the engine had thicker rods, is this true? Also is there anyway to tell if an engine does indeed have the thicker rods or not, as i have bought an engine but its out of the car already and cant find out what car it came from, are there any markings to state what it is?
  22. You only need to put oil in if you get a low reading, anything under 150psi. Putting oil in is just a test to confirm if your rings are fooked, as if the psi goes back up with the oil in, it confirms that the rings are worn. Enjoy!
