  1. If you have the door cards, the speaker pods and the metal brackets then you'll get about £60 maybe £70 depending on how much someone wants them. I sold my whole lot for £50. If you have the amp, rear live sound and all oem wiring to go with it you might be able to get a bit to be fair... If it's just the plastic pods it's probably more of a lost item that someone might want eventually. Not a lot of use without the rest I'm afraid.
  2. I was only joking matey lol. My thread was food for thought not a cry out for charity donations. I paid £70 for rsr springs with Kyb shocks so trd probably about the same to £120. Front bumper as said depending on condition anywhere from 40 to 70, wheels not a clue and parcel shelf probably about £20-£30 unless you have some oem sound system still bolted on it in which case about £60... in my opinion.
  3. Haha. You're a cunt but that made me giggle
  4. Joking aside. I thought they were worth what people will pay? Supply demand n all that. Just put it all up for twice it's realistic value and bump till gone lol
  5. Well mate trd shocks and springs are super rare optional extras so must be worth about £400. Every parcel shelf I've seen was cut so must be worth about £120, wheels say sparco so again super rare, maybe £200 each? And the bumper... You know what why not just break the car? .
  6. Well fuck me haha. Didn't even know of this procedure. Cheers guys, good job seeing as I'm putting my friend's back together soon .
  7. Anyone got a guide or some pictures of this? Never heard of it.
  8. How would you tension it? I thought they just lined up with each other in the appropriate marked teeth and that was that lol
  9. I had a violin and genuinely started to pick it up a bit lol. Could play a few bits. Sold it eventually when I was skint lol! Pretty hard to learn especially if I didn't have the natural movement from playing guitar for years. Have to be much more precise with where and how you place your fingers as every mm difference on the neck/strings will make it sound different as it doesn't have frets like a guitar... Was fun though.
  10. Why don't you learn to play an instrument... Guitar passed many bored hours by for me (as you know lol). I'd have a piano if I had anywhere to keep one.
  11. Edit: you sure this isn't just fuel cut? Colder weather might be making it creep a little and hit fuel cut. Have you got a boost gauge?
  12. Why not a mk1? I'm considering selling mine soon to get another project. Just got a few more bits I want to do before I put it up for sale.
  13. I thought all shims and buckets were the same. I also imagine they all have the same tolerances. Not sure what those tolerances are though.
  14. fair play I shouldn't have worded it as "everyone" although I think the majority do just think about the money outcome rather than helping others. Edit: Thinking about it there are also one or two that have helped me out heavily even though it was ages ago now. Dave Heart on here sold me a full exhaust a few years ago for pennies. Never met the guy and couldn't thank him enough. Probably the nicest person I've met in the scene. And in turn I then went on eventually to sell that exhaust for the same price to another member. Was nice! But was the only substantial deal that I recall (there would
  15. And I know you're my girlfriend so we share a lot of views but I couldn't agree more with everything you said. (apart from having to pay a price for something when I didn't think it was worth it. I guess I'd try to consider feeling ripped off as treating myself to ease the burn lol)
  16. When new yes. But not when second hand. Which is why I say is this scene really considered to be a cheap one anymore when I can buy the same parts for a skyline at a cheaper price lol.
  17. A lot will have changed granted, and technically as a small hatch starlets are considered to be cheap, but when you look into the costs, are they really that much cheaper than the other scenes?? Running them physically will be cheaper with it being a 1.3 and low tax and insurance etc but aftermarket bits are just as expensive and spares seem to be more expensive than spares for a lot of other cars I've had or thought about buying..... Desirable parts are worth money when people fight over them, but how can that be justified for stuff that isn't when it's still expensive? TD04 comment, I get w
  18. So how come I've bought 3 TD04s over all and one cost £30 which was mint, another cost £40 which was even better (which I welded, rotated and sold on here for £150 because "it's what it's worth") and then recently with my current GT I bought another for £20 which is absolutely fine too. I got them all from impreza owners because they disregard the TD04 and usually always want to upgrade to the TD05 which is why they're cheap. People originally did the TD04 as a conversion over any other turbo because they were cheap and widely available. Now everyone is on the band wagon and charge £100 plus o
  19. Oh okay guys lol. So the fact that all the universal parts that we sell on here are priced higher than majority of the other scenes means nothing? Like buying TD04s off scoobyclinic for £20 and selling them on here for £120 and buying an ssqv for £30 when they come on here for £100. I've had GTs for 5 years and don't struggle to run them so I don't particularly think that I "can't afford to run this kind of car" but when it comes to buying and selling second hand parts a lot of owners turn into fucking Mike Brewer lol.
  20. I think it's all going off a little bit anyway, my target is stuff like standard parts and well used starlet aftermarket parts, stuff there is loads of knocking about. Like the lights, window motors, seats, interior parts, stuff like front mounts and the ECUs, when people try sell a gen 1 ssqv for £100 or some quad lights and a grille for £180 etc etc lol. I'm not expecting people to sell their mint carbon bonnets that retail at £800 for £50 after 6 months use
  21. Yeah that's the case because we have no choice and the reason we have no choice is because the stuff was so expensive to begin with... To put it into simple perspective of how I'd like it to work... Currently you buy a turbo kit for say £600. When it comes to selling it, if in the same condition, it may sell again for £600. Cool....... Now if prices were lower and you bought that turbo kit for £300, you do exactly the same, and when it comes to selling, you get £300 back for it... So nothing is different in the end, you still get your money back but everything is just on a lower scale making
  22. Well I still didn't receive the lights on either friday or saturday. Again will wait patiently until tomorrow to see if they arrive. Nearly 3 weeks, woo lol.
  23. Just had a look and A32 bmw colour is actually pretty close. (was deffo called Toyota brown of some kind though )
