  1. Nope but if he has the lights still on the car, ask him to take them off and ill collect them off you instead and have my delivery money back lol! Sounds reassuring. How did the lights look? Apparently they're in mint condition too lol. Nope it's just for the mk1 rear lights. I finally got a response from him last night saying that it was the couriers fault. He said he would screen shot his receipt from booking it in and send it me but when I asked him to he said he's at work, still nothing now either so I'm going to assume it's just a white lie. Told him that I'll just forget about it all providing I have the lights by Friday which is plenty of time to get them to me. If not I want a refund and will leave bad feedback. If he doesn't refund I will open a case in paypal. Really frustrating when this happens. Guy seems reasonable in his messages but shouldn't take this long to post something. I'd understand if something had happened in which case I'd wait longer but just getting the generic bullshit "courier messed it up" excuse is annoying. Even if they had messed it up, book it in again and get a refund from the other. I'm going to stop ranting.
  2. If we're going to be realistic and not just go on about starlet this and honda that, you're basically just tarring one particular group of people with the same brush. There are a few stuck up starlet owners just like there are a few stuck up dairy farmers and fireplace carpenters. Can't just assume that because you didn't get on with one or two owners that the rest are the same. I met a guy in his 30s by racing his jaguar and having a laugh at the next traffic lights. Turns out he owns his own computer software programming company, drives a mint db7 at the weekend and lives in a quiet little village where he spends most nights in the local, yet he bantered to me for ages about my GT, bought me a few pints and he's so down to earth despite his income and lifestyle that I'd say he was my age and no way could he own a jag and a Aston Martin if I hadn't met him in person and seen it for myself... My point is you can't judge a group of people by a car they drive. The scene may be a certain style. Starlets are typically quite tidy and fast which you might find stuck up if you came from a saxo scene which might be no exhaust and matte black rattle can jobs. But every owner is different. The Aston Martin owner who bought the starlet owner a pint and became mates is a good example.
  3. No faith in humanity. Another case of paypal cunts. Go see him personally lol
  4. Get back in touch with PayPal and ask for the case to be reviewed. If you have the evidence that he took it apart and damaged it then they need to see that. They get so many cases a day that chances are most are decided by a computer lol. Get in touch with them.
  5. Lol genuinely wouldn't surprise me if it was something like that. I'm ready to open a dispute already. I already asked him after 3 or 4 days if he had sent them and he said he would do it tomorrow. I thought after I got back from jae they would be here but still fuck all. Really frustrating when I try to post everything the next day or two, packaged really well and reply straight away to messages etc and when it comes to buying it takes weeks to receive anything.
  6. Paid him for some lights nearly 2 weeks ago now and still not had anything or heard anything from him. Sent him a message waiting for a response. Has anyone else dealt with him? Getting a little impatient.
  7. Ttt
  8. That's what I thought. Got a little excited then thinking I could improve the crappy fan speed lol. Always had rubbish heaters all together in the 82s
  9. Is this the same on the 82?
  10. I have a headgasket mate. Blueprint so just as good as toyota. I have some head bolts too if you need them... Tut just saw your post lol!
  11. That was nick's matey. User name is bluebear
  12. My eg was fun, handled well, sounded nice and looked nice. Good overall car. The only downside is the scene. Full of camber fags, flat peaks, rotas and it gets nothing but abuse from every other car scene because honda boys do nothing but bang on about vtec and rev limiter at shit for no reason... loved the car, hard the scene. Would still like to own a turbo civic at some point.
  13. It's just a simple case of both at fault. Driver didn't pay enough attention and biker was going way too fast. All guilty of not paying 100% attention all the time and we're all guilty of having sped at some point. No good pointing fingers lol.
  14. Just sat next to a BBq eating chicken surrounded by parties, beer and birds oh wait... No I'm at jae. My bad.
  15. Thanks guys ! And funny you should say that darra because I bought some a few days ago lol! Just waiting for them to arrive.
  16. aaddzz123 What a coincidence
  17. I used a ct9 hks actuator and bent the bar a bit then make a bracket to fit it. Bit of effort but works a treat and looks tidy.
  18. Any chance you could have missed a bent valve?
  19. There's a lot here to read so if I'm honest I've skipped a lot lol. Have you tried a sniff test to see if there is any exhaust gasses in the coolant? When it's warm are the coolant pipes overly pressurised? It's sounds very much like a head gasket failure to me. Between one of the cylinders and waterway. That said you usually have a slight misfire to go with it. Could also be a cracked head. Smell your coolant and see if it smells of exhaust gasses, see if any bubbles are going into the overflow bottle, check how hard coolant pipes are when hot, and if it's not obvious by then, get a sniff test done just to be sure. All these signs say that basically exhaust gasses are pressurising the coolant system which means that the coolant system is also going into the engine (which causes white smoke/steam)
  20. Cheers guys . Def needs lowering more and a change of wheels.
  21. Write them a letter or an email mate. Tell them about the shit experience in store, they mixed the wrong paint to what was on the label (just put some different paint in it if they ask for inspection haha ) and demand that you want a refund for everything that you wasted because of their mistake (even if it wasn't, most companies will just give their customers what they want). Mention trading standards somewhere too... I got a cold burger without lettuce after waiting 15 minutes from KFC once and I complained, got free food. Took me 5 minutes and was good to vent off too lol
  22. As Jo said I ended up pulling an all nighter last night to get the car finally in paint. I spent about 5 hours masking the car off somehow. I'm not sure what I did such a long route seeing as I probably could have done it in about an hour if I'd just used a big bag instead... But I finished the prep yesterday in the day and took more trim off to make it easier later on, got to the unit, stripped it down, masked it up, did a few coats, back together and home for 6am. Had a few hours kip but still exhausted. Think I'll have a cold shower and go back to bed lol!! Excuse the phone photo quality. I didn't get chance to do the front lip as it originally reacted with the paint that was already on there when I tried priming it. Need to take it all off and start from scratch which I will do tomorrow providing it's not raining. I need to flatten and polish the car too. It's a good finish overall but I did get one or two small runs because I put the first coat on too wet. Typical lol.
