  1. Well that was short lived lol another breaking soon to come?
  2. It was nice to meet you too mate ! It practically runs the same to be honest except the economy is better and there's a shit lot less mess going up the back of the car lol. It's not cracked a piston yet and I've given it a beating so I'm sure it will be fine . Lol! Now now
  3. I think maybe brave heart has been on repeat too many times for some people haha . On a serious note it would take a massive amount of effort for Scotland to go independent. They're basically building a country from scratch which would take forever to establish and there are no real benefits as far as I'm aware. Just the pride of saying they're their own country... We all know the Scots don't like us Brits ;) but seriously is it that bad?
  4. I'm not 100% convinced... I think something subtle and a little different would be cool and original. Cheers grant. I think the wheels are a massive let down. I think the style are okay, offset needs spacing out a little, but the finish on the wheels is shit lol! Curbed is an understatement. I still have the old wheels from my previous GT and was considering putting them on but they still need a blast and a refurb as they're flaking from my previous lazy respray.
  5. Sounds like a good en mate lol. Before doing anything else I would do a pressure check. You basically pop it on where the rad cap usually sits and then pressurise the system and wait for any leaks or see if the pressure drops on the gauge. For piece of mint I would check all hoses are on tightly and not weeping when up to temp. If you can, might be worth replacing all the hose clamps with a good set of jubilie clips. It also gives you a chance to thoroughly check each pipe and connection to double check. You could also use a little bit of sealant on each connection just to be double sure... My
  6. Clever stuff mate. And much more cost efficient over buying a new rail... How low does the seat sit as the standard seats are pretty high... I want to do something similar but it depends how high it sits really. I may end up making a whole fixed mount if it's not particularly low. Cheers mate
  7. Cheers mate ! Currently I'm cleaning up some mk1 rear lights I got around to buying as they were badly tinted with the wires also cut off and I'm also refurbishing the glow badge as it was going crispy and flaking away around the edges which really let it down... Now that I've stripped it down it might be quite hard to get it exactly the same as it was before and therefore I'm thinking of maybe doing something a little different such as a different font, maybe having "GT Turbo" instead or something similar. Probably a different colour too. If I don't like it, I'll have done all the hard work t
  8. Keep up all the good work mate! It's nice to see the final transformation when it happens. Just looked back at the photos of mine when I bought it and was surprised how much different it is myself lol. Hopefully you'll look back soon enough and think the same .
  9. I keep seeing your photos on snap chat (along with the ones of dead animals n stuff). Best GT on here in my opinion. Can't wait to see it done.
  10. Should be good mate ;). Interested as to how it will sound
  11. I too ran 242bhp without issues on stock internals. Breaking pistons is a known weak spot in the 4efte although I still put it down to fueling... I'd consider stripping it and replacing the piston if the bore is okay. However the easiest option is to buy another engine.
  12. Welcome to the forum . Nice to find a few more members in the area. Maybe we should hold a meet some point to get everyone together.
  13. Come on mossy thought you'd have known about the landscape orientation rule by now mate ;). Crop it down or something. Nice photo.
  14. Personally find it less time consuming to take it out the top. Plus saves lifting the car to a silly height to drag it out and scraping the garage floor and sump etc. Personal preference though. See what works best for you when it comes to it. Both ways work just as well.
  15. Yeah I see it all the time at scrapyards but I'd expect it there or someone that does it for a living I expect it a little too with their view being that time is money although it does brand a lot of bits useless such as the hoses and cables, looms etc... I think someone breaking the one off car on their drive could probably take the time to unclipped stuff though haha. Just means I'll have to cut the connectors off my mk2/3 lights and use hem but then it means when I sell them on they will have no connectors.
  16. I did wonder if they would be the same and I could pop them straight in but I suppose that answers my question lol. Should look a lot better eh mate ! I did actually pay scene tax lol! Always seen them for 40-50 and I ended up paying £55 for these. I can't stand it. The connectors are literally just on the other side on the body. Why cut them off.
  17. 3 weeks ago I paid Ryan for a pair of mk1 rear lights. After numerous messages he told me that he had first forgot and then that the courier had messed things up and eventually he posted them. I finally received them today. The packaging to be fair was really good and I cannot complain. They were wrapped nice and tightly in numerous layers of bubble wrap and were undamaged when opening. However the first thing I noticed was that he had chopped all the wires off instead of just unplugging the connectors which I just don't understand? So I now have to hard wire all the wires in which means buy
  18. That's fair enough comments guys and I completely understand what you're saying. But when trying to price something in general, is it worth putting it up for £200 because someone might be willing to pay that for it? I guess at the end of the day like you say people will just sell stuff for as much as they want ans pay what they want to pay and everyone has a different price in mind.
  19. That looks awesome . She's too busy falling down the stairs all the time though never mind on a motorised mountain board haha
  20. Jos mk2/3 bumper was uncut and freshly painted with yellow fogs and she paid 60. Charlotte is currently selling her mk1 bumper with lip for £50. The middle is cut out but as she said you can still mount a plate in there no issues and you would be none the wiser. Granted it needs painting though. Personally I think anyone that pays more than £120 for a standard bumper in very good condition is a bit "doolally" even if its a mk1 lol.
  21. Maybe someone else should have stood up and said that it was a joke before I did then instead of just watching people get ass raped lol. It does unplug but the loom then goes from under the seat to the right hand side of the pedals and also behind the stereo I believe. I don't think it unplugs from there either. Could be wrong but ill let you know tomorrow when I have a look lol
  22. Just take a look under the drivers seat. If the amp is there you're on a winner. I think you might need to change the entire interior loom though to sell that with it which might be more effort than its worth.
  23. Trying to sell 2 door cards for £100 is the reason I opened my ranty moaning extravaganza on pricing lol
