  1. Not really lol. £40 for a set of driveshafts is the going rate for most cars. Can be posted within the UK for about £10. Use parcel2go.com. Anything under 20kg will be £10-15 depending on what company you go with.
  2. I had the same problem when I first installed it. It's because it will be set up as a 6 cylinder engine. You need to go into the settings and change it to a 4 cylinder. I think it's under "ETC" or something, I can't remember to be exact.
  3. http://www.ukstarletowners.com/topic/60485-a-guide-to-fitting-and-setting-up-the-apexi-avc-r/ The solenoid uses a pink and red wire on one side and a pink and black on the other. The pink goes to the pink and the red goes to the black. The sensor wires are: Yellow - Red, Brown - Black and Blue white. All other wires are explained in the guide. Hope this helps mate
  4. I did a guide for this. GIve me a sec
  5. Welcome to the forum mate . How come you're re-shelling the GT? Get some pictures up . Adam.
  6. Personally always bought them second hand. Be best off asking someone breaking one. I've never paid more than £40 for a pair for any car. If you absolutely want new joints then just buy the joints and I'd get them from any parts supplier rather than Toyota. If for some reason you need the shaft too I'd still get them from a parts supplier, although for what it's worth I'd just get a second hand pair.
  7. I've had this a few times with some cars, mainly my civic. Chances are it's just burning oil and you can't see it out the back. I used to get it a lot after I'd been driving normally and then put my foot down for a stretch... I'd start by getting rid of any oil leaks for a start but unless it's hitting the exhaust, I'd say it's more likely to just be burning a little (Just to warn as well if it is burning off on the exhaust, sort it out asap because the last thing you want is an oily fire, hot oil on hot exhaust = no no lol). Both the sumps on my GT's have leaked a little and I don't really ex
  8. Likes: The people. Free food was amazing. Sound system is much better. I didn't have to look after any poles or walls for the marquee haha . I like that we entered the dragon boat racing. Would love to have competed in more stuff. Shame they do them so early. Nerf battles. We should have more childish games or stuff alike on the stand. Group photos. Dislikes: I'm not 100% sure on that location. It's nice to be close to the main area but the dust is a nightmare and we seem to be first in line for complaints. Not sure if I'd rather stay there or be out the way and have more privacy from moaning
  9. My only grumble with the proxies are that the sidewalls are a little too soft and have some roll and the sides of the tread also wear out before the rest of the tyre which is annoying. The 45s are better for the sidewall stiffness but they still wear unevenly from my experience. I like prada spec 2s but would love to try the AD08s. Just can't afford them lol
  10. Typically most fast road car drivers go for the T1r, Parada spec 2 or uniroyal rainsport. Those with a little more money might go for the AD08. There are a range of other decent tyres but they're a little more and best bang for buck seems to be those three. I currently have S-Drives and they're really good, yet never heard anyone say anything about them because they're about £55 a tyre where as the rainsports are probably on par for example and are cheaper.
  11. Sorry for the delay with this one folks. I decided to paint my GT the week before JAE and it literally took up all of my time, I then went to JAE and when we got back I spent the week with the better half and haven't even been to my desktop until now... Now that I am here, I will sort this post out to still give everyone over 2 weeks to vote for their favorite submission from August . Cheers! Adam. 12. SEPTEMBER TIME! I thought it would be a good idea to write up some clear rules for the Pic Of The Month Competition (POTM), to save confusion! - One photo allowed per competition per member - Only landscape photo orientation!!!! - The photo can be of any style as long as its starlet related, i.e motion, landscape, nighttime, interior, macro close ups, set in a scene, car half built etc. Try and be creative! - Please only enter high quality photos - some could be used in the annual UKSO calender! - The closing date for submissions will be the LAST DAY of each month. If you post AFTER the
  13. I usually send photos too of the items packed with the courier labels on all booked in. Not everytime though because it can be a bit longwinded sometimes. Anyway just a quick update, the tracking number has started working on parcelforce now and it looks like delivery will be tomorrow (saturday) which I don't have a problem with... If the lights are in good condition like stated I'm happy to leave this as a nutural feedback. He's asked me to remove this post but I'm not going to remove anything until everything is done and then I'll write a summary. Think that's the fairest option.
  14. Haha . I had actually stold the pen up on your shelves again and was shooting it off from the bed. Hit it first time twice though. Getting too good.
  15. Good progress as always matey . Would you be willing to share how you "adapted" the standard rails to work with the sparco seats? Any pictures?
  16. All looking good matey . Will be keeping an eye on this to see how you're doing
  17. Always set my gts to +1 and most cars that came in for a tracking got +1 too to be honest lol. Find it doesn't wander as much with a bit of toe in.
  18. Lol not sure who you're having a dig at but personally I've never used the excuse and never would unless it was a genuine reason. If we're all going to be honest the only common and real reason something is late is because we haven't been arsed to post it yet or genuinely been really busy.
