  1. April fools ....FOOLS! I'm going to feel bad if it's not but I'm sticking to my guns right now!
  2. Hello peeps, About 2 weeks ago I went halves with my brother on a VTS track car. Did a track day in my cousins Peugeot 306 GTI-6 at Cadwell the previous weekend and needed a track car after that, its a lot of fun. This very clean example of a VTS was available about 35 miles away from me so went to look at it with my bro one night in the week then picked it up the following weekend. Spec when I bought it: Fully stripped, 4-2-1 stainless manifold and straight through exhaust, Corbeau Forza bucket seat, Dunlop Formula R tyres, 'apparently' cammed, standard suspension, standard backbox. Plans are: Check over car, rear axle, engine etc. (done at a garage the day after we bought it) Purchase roll cage (done) Purchase Bilstein B8 front dampers (done) Purchase Bilstein B8 rear dampers Purchase lowering springs (done) Purchase passenger bucket seat (done) Purchase polycarb windows Purchase new backbox Purchase brake upgrade, possibly 406 brakes Purchase cambelt cover Change seat mountings to turrets rather than on the floor Lower rear axle Take inner door skins, boot skin and bonnet skin out Strip engine to check cams Lots of other things I will think of later! Also, making up some nice suspension made from a set of mitsubishi coilovers to eventually replace the bilsteins and springs. Rear axle is spot on, looks like it been serviced recently. Also engines got fresh oil and recent cambelt kit on so guessing it recently been fully serviced prior to us buying it. Tyres have got lots of tread on so got a few track days left on them. Pics of my on track: Chasing an MK indy Pics from the advert: Bought a bolt in cage which was welded in! Was in a sundance yellow 106 shell. Picked up the whole lot from near Peterborough, cut the cage out which wasn't much fun, then scrapped the shell. The cage is an OMP 6 point (its down as a 10 point on their website) Picked up this seat off Glanza Mac, its a Cobra Monaco Test fitting the cage to the saxo, spraying it white when its all marked up and making some mounting points. Bar rear bar isn't fixed in this pic Heres the struts I bought, there is some bilstein B8 inserts hidden in them! currently on 60mm springs but taking them off and fitting 25-30mm Going to work on the car today, get some mounting platforms made up for the cage
  3. There was a thread somewhere on uksc with pictures comparing the two
  4. Thats wicked that you spotted that. Should have left a note on the window!
  5. Read this posted on saxperience about claiming payments back after the limit has passed. May help some people. http://www.saxperience.com/forum/showthread.php?t=428363
  6. Potholes are a joke in Lincolnshire. When they repair them they are supposed to cut around them and fill them in properly, instead you get a spastic with a shovel scooping tarmac straight into the hole. Breaks away in no time.
  7. All sorted now, picked up a seat off glanza mac, sound lad. this can be locked
  8. Any updates on this? Did people get their goods or money back?

    Bucket seat

Hi guys, after a bucket seat for my Saxo Track car. It currently has a corbeau forza on the drivers side, looking for something similar Doesn't have to be great condition, preferable black. Or even a pair if you got them. Wanting to spend as little as possible so even if they aint pretty (tears etc) don't mind as they are only for a track car. Thanks guys
  17. Crazy video though
  18. I was looking at almera gtis for a track car, a friend has one in town, fairly quick and well built, not sure on the handling. bought a saxo vts in the end. Cant go wrong, altho its French and disliked, they engines can be picked up for about 100 quid so doesnt matter if it goes pop
  19. Thats not good mate! It's a shame some europeans come here and don't treat the country with respect at all. Fair few crimes down my end in the countryside committed by eastern europeans, some of them are proper organised as well
  20. Welcome dude, wish I could see the car. I'm on works computer and it refuses to load some pics
  21. I presume so, eventhough TTE is no more, lots of more recent cars came with the same gel badge on so there should be loads floating about in stock at the dealers.
  22. Na, I wouldn't either! lol
  23. If you need a part number for the TTE gel badge, I've got it written down at home
  24. Congrats mate, took me two attempts to pass mine. Only because the first examiner was a slag £800 !!!!!! ???? I paid £1400 on a 1.2 corsa 4 years ago as my first car. If it's as it should be their computer clearly made a mistake and you have fluked it lol
