  1. Managed to get round to fitting the cam belt and water pump the other day. pully bolt would not budge so bought a new tool. Found the rest of the cam belt one I got the covers off. Got that sorted and made a start on the lower control arms my god what a git of a job. Done one but using a press for the other. VID_20201028_151644.mp4

  3. No mate Fiske ones the new ones couldn't justify £500 + on skirts.

  5. Bits turned up today full timing bet kit water pump and strong flex lower control arm bushes. Was going to do it today but it's raining. Will crack on tomorrow and get it done.
  6. So....... thought I'd check the cambelt as I've been lazy and not looked at it in the 3 years I've had the car. Oops cambelt kit and water pump on order along with new PAS AC and ALT belts and coolant or order looks like I'm with out my daily untill the bits arrive lucky it's and easy belt to do easier than the 4e winner.
  7. My new side skirts turned up the other week. Just a test fit at the moment. Look loads better.

  10. Think the only difference is the abs discs have a ring for the abs and non abs don't quote me on that though.
  11. ECU has nothing to do with it which ones are sticking ? Sliders are mostly likely not sliding and stuck
  12. Engine was built by tuning developments I will be taking it back again to be stripped down inspected and rebuilt when I can afford it.
  13. No it's not bad if you keep up on the servicing. I serviced mine every 3k oil and filter. Unfortunately this time round I found metal in the oil not bad for a 9 year old forged lump that has had its head kicked in every time ive used it.
  14. I just forced it down a tad when I had my na sure I only used one bolt aswell. crude way but it worked for me.
  15. Thank you won't be for a couple of years I don't think I just don't have the funds to get it done yet. The kids need new beds ect lol. So going to crack on with some other jobs clean the bay up drill out some snapped bolts freshen it up. Will have my new Fiske side skirts in a few months so can crack on with them and the wings.
  16. Been down to the car today engine is now out. It can sulk in the corner untill I drop it up for its rebuild now lol. Gives me chance to clean up the engine bay while it's out get a few more jobs done aswell.

  18. That's the way I see it aswell so deep into it now why stop lmao. Gonna build up the engine hoist in the morning then probly pull the engine out Monday.
  19. Tbh I have no idea I've done about 30k on it and what ever the chap before done. No mate get it out and ready to go on furlough so have to keep my self busy or I'll go mad haha 🤣
  20. Spent a little time at the car today all ready to come out just mounts to whip off once the hoist arrived then it will be out
  21. It's crap lol it's all good though mid had some quite big chunks something has defo gone through it one of those things did order this today should make life easier.
  22. No mate engine is a good 7 / 8 years old I'd say. I'll ask for pics when it's comes apart as I'm running it up to tuning developments. Nice day out for me won't be for a little bit as I'm skint being on furlough and need to purchase an engine crane to get it out the car first.
