Sexy stuff as always from the lads at Zisco !! Bet you cant wait to hear the rip from it haha

Its more of a job than it sounds adding in electric windows lol. The most hassle free way would be to source a set of GT doors with the motors and door looms etc still in place. Now they plug up to the dash loom in a GT, so if you want youd have to get a GT dash loom for it to plug in, this also means changing the clocks as your N/a ones wont plug in. All a bit of a ball ache really unless you are pretty good with electrics and can make up some mini looms with a switched power feed to the motors ? When i have the doors apart i'll take some pics for you

If the weather holds out i will be doing the exact opposite haha, im hopefully putting the windy setup from my 85 doors into my GT doors. What exactly do you want to know ? Does your existing interior loom have the multiplugs near the doors to plug in a door loom ? Do your doors have holes for the looms ? If not just get a pair of GT doors and fire them on, make life easier lol.

Just dont drive near beaches haha. I used mesh on a TD04 and kept a HKS mushroom filter kit in the boot to fire on if need be

Japfest - Any Scottish Folk Going Down ?
daniel_g replied to daniel_g's topic in The Scottish Quarter
Was thinking meet about 10pm Friday night and boost down through early hours Saturday morning. Meet point would depend where everyone is coming from but for now am thinking Bellshill junction is a decent place. Then youre on the M74, A74, M6, M5 etc. Stop a few times along the way and get the tickets at the main meet point, and be in the massive 80 odd starlet convoy lol. Then stay in a hotel Saturday night after the show and blast back up during the day sunday. What you think ? -
Clip type for anything other than a MK1 GT

TD Ignition Overhaul package is a good shout to get that side of things up to scratch before power chasing. They are traders on here
-
Haha no worries, i still havent fitted them yet !! Hopefully do it this weekend

Couldnt upload a pic last night, photobucket was down. Anyway this what he needs to take out of the speedo dials, something will be stuck and not allowing it to tick over.
-
Ohh yes, thats how i did actually remove two starlet doors :/
-
After you disconnect the multiplug, theres 4, 14 or 12 mm bolts that hold the hinges and also if you hit the check strap pin up the way to get it off, thats it. I recently did this in the pissing rain outside Charlie Buckets lockup on my own haha, they are heavier than expected aswell. Watch your toes

It runs Phil and thats all i know lol, still isnt road worthy yet !! Got a fairly big VF12 turbo strapped to it and will run low boost so fingers crossed it'll be ok Haha. Its a dead cert the HG will go because the engine is still un-opened !! Will bang a 1.9mm in to lower comp a wee bit. Go for it buddy it would be quality, its all about high comp turbo builds anyway Just have to decide on HG thickness, FHE rods are insane aswell lol. Sorry this thread has spiralled a bit -

You'd struggle to get 18 quid let alone 180. -

That wasn't a F/S thing by the way, i'd MUCH rather keep it all and have some N/a fun times. Gen1 FE engines are awesome, i've just boosted one, it is basically a GT engine with thick corolla rods and 9.6 - 1 comp pistons -
Sooooo many jokes running through my head right now but mustn't say anything....

Is it worth getting Coil overs or Springs?
daniel_g replied to Lewigi's topic in Chassis & Suspension
Just a shame they are all so expensive imo, but then again we have performance cars and pay performance prices Had em on civics in the past and they really are night an day in comparison to lowering springs. -
See i never stripped it down, i just swapped it over, just looks well fuckin fiddly.

I have a nice little JDM Gen1 FE package here, consisting of an exhaust manifold, pink injectors, the 100ps ECU and engine ancillary loom. Was gonna keep hold of it all, strap it to a 5E and drop it in a GT shell and use it as a daily. Might let the lot go for a good offer though ?? -
I've recently taken one out a GT to put in my 85 and they are quite a complicated mechanism. I'd say either get another one with just over 100K or strip it down and try and un stick it.
-
I've heard of this happening before, dont know what the guy done about it though !!

The OP was talking about exhaust manifolds, then the topic kinda got changed to intakes haha. -
I only did it because i had no water lines to the turbo and no heaters, so wanted max cooling. Up to you really, 18 quid is not a lot really
