I reconnected the coolant/vac hoses on the TB/inlet because they were all unplugged. And also it wasnt starting, just kept cranking over, so i did the usual checks and found the plugs were caked in oil and shit, swapped them out and fired it up first time !! Took it for a little spin and my god that 1st gear is short !! Its like a reverse ratio haha. Bought a few parts which should be arriving soon, pair of OZ alloys, pair of Rainsports, Exedy 3 paddle clutch and FTE flywheel. Pics of car in a min

Really depens what engine the S3 has in it and whats been done to it. Id say the later 2L turbo is the best out of the lot.

Pumped a MK1 RS when i had the GT, TD04 supporting mods. Spec of Focus unknown, prob standard lol.

Well i still have my some parts from the GT that i'll need like, ignitor, clocks, ECU. The rest should be getting sorted soon I'll be keeping the windys though, weight saving man haha. The Carat will be a good base for a N/a build i reckon, with it already having the coilpack and Glanza S intake. But the 85 takes priority atm obviously What have you done suspension wise Shorty, still running the Zoom setup ?

When i first seen the Carat for sale i thought it was a 95, i even got the guy to read me the VIN down the phone lol. If you look hard enough you will find one, i've been trying to get hold of one ever since i heard of them haha.

Sounds standard haha, am on about 3-4 boxes a week atm just on the wee hyundais. Mostly because the core plug box side is screwed in and comes loose so leaking oil into the clutch, design flaw... Theyre so basic its unreal man. Its like working on starlets all day haha.

Youre telling me haha ^^^ I do the Hyundais at work (fuckin awesome motors !!) and i cry a bit inside everytime i get a job on a citroen. Last one was a duel mass on a motorway maintenance Relay... Felt like jumping off a roof man :/

Try doing a box on a Nissan Terrano for a homer on the deck, thats a difficult box to do lol.

What other cars have you had mate ? Dont know what mods you currently have but, for a grand you could get lot of stuff 2nd hand, bucket seat, harnesses, springs/coilovers, front mount intercooler, electronic boost controller, alloys, exhaust, body work stuff like lips or spoiler, steering wheel, braces etc. endless list You wont get all that for 1K but you could get the majority if you shop about a little bit in the for sale section

I had it on my thighs and lifted it up the way. A rope around the bottom of the box and up to and around the strut brace is also a good way to get it into position. Taggy, i think youve had the most gearbox trouble out of us all !!
