Sounds standard haha, am on about 3-4 boxes a week atm just on the wee hyundais. Mostly because the core plug box side is screwed in and comes loose so leaking oil into the clutch, design flaw... Theyre so basic its unreal man. Its like working on starlets all day haha.

What other cars have you had mate ? Dont know what mods you currently have but, for a grand you could get lot of stuff 2nd hand, bucket seat, harnesses, springs/coilovers, front mount intercooler, electronic boost controller, alloys, exhaust, body work stuff like lips or spoiler, steering wheel, braces etc. endless list You wont get all that for 1K but you could get the majority if you shop about a little bit in the for sale section

Yeah, you can still use the MK2 boot though, it has the same cut out for a glow panel as the panel thats already on the MK2s is the same shape

You could just buy a tidy MK2, i have all the exterior parts to covert to the MK1 look. Good luck with the search, sadly there arent many MK1s left let alone tidy ones

The actual bare engine is the same, just the thermostat housing sensors i think. Use the MK1 housing. I had the same issue when i put a 98 spec in a GT.

Yous are all nuts haha, i got a 'mountain bike' from a local, ehh, junkie tbh, for the vast some of 20 quid. I pedal it and the wheels turn and thats all it needs to do lol.
