  5. Yeah i didnt bother with a crane at all when i took the engine out the GT, or even when i another one in
  6. The DVLA would have it on record if you supply them with the VIN, surely ?
  7. Theres one on TGTT for a GT, exact same process. http://www.toyotagtturbo.com/forums/showwiki.php?title=EP82+Engine+removal I havent had a good look through it but its fairly straight forward. If you are using a crane then pretty much disconnect the mounts, shafts, loom, matrix pipes, gear cables and vac lines to rack and rip it out with manifolds and ancillarys on. Leave the box bolted on and lift it as one. If you dont have a crane then its easier to take as much stuff off as you can and drop it down onto a pallet. Mind and drain the gear oil before popping the shafts.
  8. Ahh man thats pish, hope yous can sort it without insurance getting involved. N/a headlights are easy got ;)
  9. Im gonna go down this route with my JDM Carat when i can be bothered Already has the Glanza S inlet and the coilpack with it being the Gen 3 4EFE. Exhaust mani is the same as a UK i think though.
  10. Ment to add spool time y0 !! And i had my full system wrapped from the 'header' lol right down to the backbox. I cant say it increased spool because i also messed about with the EBC and intake on the same day. But it made it paaap paaap paaap and bang, b-bang, so defo a winner haha.
  11. Thought you would have got some interest at least mate. Worth mentioning that these were an optional extra if i'm not mistaken, for all those optional whores.
  12. Just dont any of you blow it up after about a week on the road lol !! 8 months it took me to build up an average TD04 spec GT, and i got 1 week out of it. But tbh it was a fucking intense driving experience and i cant wait to do the whole thing again Felt like giving up so many times, especially as i went without a daily for all that time just so i could spend it all on the starlet. But the thrill of finally finishing it is unreal, dont rob yourself of that ffs !!
  13. Wish it was a set !! How easy/hard is it to find another pair Amjad ? Also, best price for these 2 please ?
  14. Not the first thing to do but a cage makes a hell of a difference to the way a car handles. Good tyres and weight saving are the first things to do imo.
  15. The cable could just be seized on at that side, pulling the lever back on the caliper therefore sticking the brake on. Get it up on a ramp and check it all over first, you might not even need to order parts, i got mine sorted with a good strip & clean and i unseized the cables by soaking them in lubricant
  16. Ano what you mean with the retro look lol !! Am not sure what to do with this now tbh, i was planning on buying a V today to turn this into a wee beast, but i've stumbled across a 85 so am getting that i think And yeah Shorty i woulda PMd you but theres one already here !! New plans for this Carat are now to keep it N/a.
  17. If you weren't about 400 miles away or whatever i'd have had it, to do some skids in In no chav fashion (fuck knows what a chav is, i shall run it through google) ,but yeah there are genuine car enthusiasts who love a bit of sideways action too
  18. Get on the green rolexs, you'll be comatosed for days and wont be able to eat. Weight just drops off. Zero effort.
  19. Thats shocking to hear Did they get the keys from the house ?
