  1. How about this? http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=56633
  2. Pretty sure he has a Mk4 Fiesta with a 1.7 Puma engine conversion? There's a build thread on here somewhere
  3. Each to their own eh haha ;) Sorry for the tangent haha, glws buddy
  4. Yea that's true, you could come unstuck if it's not all registered correctly :/
  5. VIC should be ok, as far as I know it's just a check of the car's ID numbers etc?
  6. ^Tru dat! I just checked my insurance, as some old dear went up the back of my car at some traffic lights. She admitted full liability, her insurers rang me and sorted the payout, courtesy car etc. I did a check for my insurance on a comparison site yesterday and my quote on a GT Turbo was £700 with no accident declared and £775 with it on there as a non-fault incident. Chin up lol :/
  7. My car got written off a week or two ago, in order to keep it I just had to lose the nominal 'scrap value' from my payout, which was only £100 according to them. It was definitely worth losing the £100 as the car is obviously worth several times that in parts!
  8. It could be that yours is a later model, I think they had a few tweaks between the earlier and later ones? Some of the later ones came with larger alloys, glass rear windows, different steering wheels and different exhausts... What extras does yours have?
  9. Looks real nice buddy, I think the colour-coding made a whole world of difference! IMO the white wheels look alot better too, much cleaner than before
  10. Well I have to add, if I'd known there was crap on the road I wouldn't have been throwing it about quite so freely. The handling is fantastic; feels so balanced through the bends and me and my dad had a great time when we took it to the Ring. But yea, obviously you can't just jump from one type to another and hope to master it instantly. Only complaint I have really in terms of handling is the steering can feel a bit dead, but it is nicely weighted and certainly never ruined it for me
  11. Yea I've heard they can be a real handful, especially in the wet :/ I hit some dried mud on a sharp corner once and found it sideways very quickly; fresh pants please! lol
  12. I do indeed, my dad got one of these brand new in 2006 and I've loved them ever since, they're so addictive to drive Good luck trying to get me to buy the Glanza too, I doubt I could afford to run it lol
  13. I think what you're refering to is an Immobiliser. I'm sure the car has one, but I'm guessing the people who took it either had the knowledge to know how to get around it, or they just stole the keys (this is a common one, break into someone's house and take the keys so you can get the car undamaged). Hope you manage to find the car again mate, makes me sick when some scummy little c**ts take someone's pride and joy
  14. Try sending Galliano a PM, he has a whole one for breaking atm />http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=56393
  15. I'm sure Taggy said his 5efte cost him at least £3k, so it's definitely not a bargain conversion lol
  16. Here's the link http://www.ukstarletclub.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=10598&st=720#entry721054
  17. You should check out the build thread that Dean@RWDevelopments has done, I'm pretty sure he has that fitment on his and I seem to remember them being an absolute bitch to get on? Sure he managed it in the end though!
  18. In which case I'm pretty sure you'd have to run a TD04 or equivalent, so you'd probably need a half-size rad to get it all in. You'd also need a decent manifold, but I'm not sure which is the best option for that... You'd also probably need an EMB to get it running sweet. I think you could get something going with a FCD and FPR, but EMB would run much better. Then there's a shedload of extra stuff you could add like a boost controller, you may want a decat and you'd want a good exhaust too, you may want to setup a FMIC at the same time as fitting and possibly a relocated air filter; it really
  19. It's not something I've done myself, but yea if you get everything on the list you should definitely get it in and running. Don't forget the Glanza ECU too. I expect you could add more parts, depending on what extra goodies you'd like to fit at the same time.
  20. Well it's been an absolute age since I've updated this, so it's about time I pulled my thumb out my ass and got on it! I'd been doing some smaller oddjobs on the car, starting with clearing out both of the front indicators to get rid of the 'fried egg' look. Before: And after: Only a cheap job to do (but an absolute bitch if you don't want to open up the indicator) but I think it makes a big difference to the front. I also sorted a new rear plate, as my old one was water-damaged and looked a bit skank. Decided to go for a 6 x 12 one as I liked the look of it on Galliano's Paseo (picture
