  1. His numberplate is clearly showing in his build thread - could you not take that to the police, along with your PMs and his mobile number? They could use the DVLA database to follow it up for you? :/
  2. But how would you verify that the details someone gave you were actually correct and theirs?
  3. Cheers Shorty that's v.helpful, I'll look into what courses/part time jobs are about locally and go from there
  4. I think in an ideal world, I think an apprenticeship with day release to college would be best so I could combine the two. I think the problem would be that I would struggle to get an apprenticeship at 23 and if I did it probably wouldn't pay enough to cover my tuition and living costs I was thinking electrician as I've always enjoyed working with electronics, but I'd also look into plumbing/gas work as I like working with my hands in general. Anyway I'm spamming the thread right up so I'll stop now lol, but that's what I'm looking at. Agree that this would have been a whole lot easier if I
  5. Cheers buddy, appreciate the advice I'll have to see what the colleges near me offer and go from there methinks. Need to find a part-time job that can pay for that and a mortgage too haha :/ I'm an Accounts Assistant atm for the record, work in an accountancy firm and prepare year end accounts for Doctors Surgeries!
  6. Out of interest, has anyone retrained in a trade, ie switched to a trade from another career? I've been fed up in my job for a while and have been considering retraining, was just wondering if anyone had tried any of these training companies to switch? ps. some people on here have some awesome sounding jobs lol
  7. I've also been wondering this, as they're mega wide but I'm not sure if it would be countered out by the high offset... Noone got any wise words on these lol?
  8. I'm thinking I have an idea who that is... Or I could just be completely wrong lol... :/
  9. I've seen a mag feature before where the guy drilled loads of small holes in the lettering on his front plate; you couldn't tell unless you got right upto it but obviously it let all the airflow through. Thought it looked pretty sweet meself!
  10. You have a photo of it? If it's the one I'm thinking of I'd happily take it off your hands for £12 + fees etc
  11. Did the Tegiwa gearknob go in the end?
  12. CJ Performance recently did a group buy on plasma dials, they probably still have some in stock?
  13. Are there any pictures of these?
  14. Ahh it's cool, I think I'm going to use it to make a template with a longer 'arm', then just get somewhere to cut it out for me and sell the original And no worries buddy
  15. Top chap! Item was posted within hours of me paying and as the postage was low he let me off paying anything towards it Turns out the towhook didn't fit like I'd hoped, but that was just my fault for trying to put a Starlet part on a Paseo Would happily buy stuff off him again in the future!
  16. Cheers buddy I've been a bit distracted recently and haven't got on with much, but the past couple days I've started ordering some odds and ends, so I should have some updates to make soon! The exhaust is also now on (and LOUD!), so I'll get some pics up for that soon too!
  17. Hmm, very tempted to see if I can get one of these on the Seo, not sure if it would clear the bumper properly though :/
  18. I love this project, I'd wondered before about how a hatch would look if you converted it into a mini van! Would be awesome if you put a 4efte in there haha ;)
  19. Looking at the photos and the weather from the day, I'm starting to feel a bit gutted that I didn't go along lol! May have to make sure I make it next year!
  20. They're spacers that lift up the bonnet round the hinges to leave that gap at the top. They're supposed to help let heat out of the engine bay
  21. May have been in a magazine article as it had alot of time spent on it?? It's got a pair of pliers for a bonnet release lol!
  22. Definitely need to look after that one, it's far too clean to break for parts! They're a pretty nice drive apart from the soggy standard suspension, but then that does make them comfy lol. Just a bit sluggish compared to a 4efte.
