I realised when I read the parts list that it was nowhere near it's current spec!......Still cool though lol
-
Just reading through this thread and this car is mental...... I love it! ;) Your video of it spitting flames is absolute sex wee too, I probably watched it about 5 times over haha. Makes me very sad that I have no turbo in my life though, really wish I earnt more lol

No woz fella!

Try checking here mate, if you bash in the Starlet in the model selector you get a huge choice, prices look ok too http://www.performan...cers-shims.aspx
-
He's looking for £310 mate, check near the top
-
Yea I bet, I'd be crawling up the wall about now if I was in your position lol Should be worth the wait though, bet it'll run sweet with that in the bay Ideal thanks for that buddy, just need to count the pennies and get me one ordered now!
-
That sucks about your engine mate Out of interest, where did you order your OBX manifold from? Can you remember how much it cost for shipping/import tax etc? Been thinking about treating myself to one for my Paseo lol
-
Am I the only one that spotted a pun there lol ;)
-
OWIES! Hope it heals up ok buddy, probably leave you an impressive scar! ;)

I found when I went to the 'Ring that I was obviously ridiculously slow compared to pretty much everyone else on the track but I still had an awesome time. I think that it doesn't really matter how quick your car is, you'll have a hell of a lot of fun whatever you're in; it's just fun to get to push it more than you otherwise would on the road Like everyone else said, the main thing is just keep an eye out for the faster drivers, but ease yourself into it and it'll be sweeeeeeet!

I think the initial free period before you have buy a membership sounds like a good idea. I've only been on here 2 months and I'd happily pay a fee after having seen how friendly the whole club is. I guess the only problem is trying to stop sales scammers registering short term...
-
I haven't been on here all that long and haven't had much of a chance as yet to get to know everyone on here. However, I can easily say that this is far and away the best forum I've ever been registered on, both in terms of knowledge and content, as well as the friendly atmostphere. If anything, IMO it's surprising that all this is currently available for free. I'd certainly have no objection to paying £10 a year for membership; I've paid more for what was really a heap of tripe in comparison!

Hi sorry I didn't reply sooner. The rear bumper is reserved but the front is up for grabs - I'll PM you The rear might be available too if the other guy changes his mind as it has a small oval cut out of the bottom where an exhaust used to hang. I'm guessing this wouldn't matter too much to you, but he may not be so keen!

Love the look of this, it's making me wonder whether I should try and salvage the Paseo breaker I got the other day. Hmmm.... lol!

rob_bower is selling a decent looking custom made jobby atm, this any good to ya? http://www.ukstarlet...showtopic=52087

Hey welcome along, always good to meet another Paseo owner You should get some photos up!
-
It all sounds very suspicious on his end to me, smacks of deceit! Like ryan lang said, sounds like a pretty awesome offer you made him instead, surely if he was genuine he would've jumped at that. I know I would have!

I'm amazed at how huge insurance premiums have become for younger drivers these days. There's a guy at work whose 18 and the insurance quotes for him on a 1.2 Fiesta are like £3000+! I remember when I was a bit younger the insurance was hefty but it was nowhere near as bad as the quotes you're ending up with; at 19 I had my old Saxo VTR, think I paid £850-900 fully comp and I only had 1 yr NCB (and clean licence etc). I guess premiums must have just gone through the roof in the last few years?! Hope you find something half decent, it's not a nice position to be in

extremely p***ed off is an understatement Update (11/4/12)

See, old people do have their uses! ;) -
Yes 195/50/15 with et40 should fit nicely
-
I think you would want 6.5J - 7J, with et35 - 40. You can go further though depending on your suspension setup and tyre size
-
The PCD is right but it also depends on the offset (et), I think it should be around 35-40 for the Starlet. You'd also want the right size tyres, I think 195/50/15 is probably one of your best bets. I'm sure one of the gurus can confirm these for you though

Small update: bought another non-running Paseo with lowered suspension and Powerflow exhaust, both of which I'm planning to pinch for mine. Also have plans to tidy up the rear on mine, which will be the next job on the list once I've sold off all the old parts from the second car! Here's the other car, complete with my dad trying to wrestle the Powerflow system off it lol: And here it is after we managed to wrestle the rusty clamps off it: Mmm shiney; should polish up nicely! Was hoping to get a bit further over the bank holiday weekend but the bloody weather put a stop to that! Hopeful

If you read here, Steed fitted one into his Paseo, which should essentially be very similar to the Starlet: http://www.ukstarlet...showtopic=32102 However I think he did have to do a bit of custom work so that he could engage reverse properly!
