you have everything you need apart from a good healthy 4efe engine to put all your parts on its basically swapping everything off the 4efte onto the 4efe so you need to buy a good 4efe lump pull the engine out of the car stick it beside the 4efe and start swapping stuff over small list rough parts to swap over inlet manifold complete fuel rail rocker cover for breathing purposes fit knock sensor at back of block flywheel so 4efe will allow the turbo clutch to be fitted N/a clucth wont last thermostat housing so water lines for turbo are there sump for turbo oil feed return oil f

big end bearings im affraid these can be repaired as long as it hasn't "thrown a leg outta the bed" as we say basically burst a hole in the block you will no because it will have a gapping hole either at the front or back depending on how hard it was revving when it started knocking as long as its not revved anymore it might be able to be saved long shot i know. the crank will need to be dropped out and so will the shell bearings both big end and small end will need new big end bearings and small and the crank checked for any scores or spun bearings and checked to see if its running true a

heres some good advice check in your local breakers for bits ya can find some great bargains and some cool bits for buttons thats what i did when i started out when i got my first car if it wasnt for the distance i'd give ya a set of wheels ive a set of white 15s here tyres are shot still hard but tyres arent great on there limits as ive another set of wheels for my car and these are only going to get scrapped. I know what its like to young and broke and mad into cars

fitting power steering to EP80
JDMfreak replied to JDMfreak's topic in N/A E-Series Engine Discussions
right that's that sorted so -
has anyone attempted to fit the power steering from an ep82 to an ep80 1.3 2e-e 12v efi I know I need the rack and pipes and resovoir and the bottom pulley from a 4efe or 4efte. the thing im wondering is will the bracket that holds the power steering pump on the 4efte or 4efe engine fit my engine im going to get all the brackets and setup from an ep82 but the engine that in my car at the minute is a 2e-e 12v efi and im not a 100% if the bracket will fit my engine

One Blue, and one Orange in Preston, with pics :)
JDMfreak replied to Rob Scott's topic in I Spy, Have You Been Spotted?
nice looking cars I had a glanza something similar to that blue one -
yeah I was wondering the same I dunno if my shocks are brilliant though maybe the reason mine sits lower if I was to go upgrading it would be coilovers only job for a starlet
-
looks very clean have you the springs in it mine sits lower on 40mm springs
-
i'll be holding onto this engine for the time being till I go for a 5efe when the cars finished with bodywork and everything as its my daily why is it easier Richard I thought I'd have to go for the full soleil dash and engine loom to run the 5efe at a later stage
-
I know I can get my hands on a gt turbo dash loom and then do the pinout from that to the clocks the rpm feed i'll take form the diagnostics side plug I did this when if fitted a rev counter to my ep90
-
2e-e 12v efi I know the plugs are different im going to chop the plugs of a gt dash loom and wire them into my ep80 loom tracing the wires to which pin goes where but im wondering if anyone had done this before and maybe might have the proper way of doing the wiring ,,ive seen the gt clocks in an ep80 before but the owners never posted any info about doing it
-
looks very well mate I like the colour exhaust sounds real well and rocker cover looks tidy out
-
Just said I'd ask here has anyone done this type of swap basically fitted a set of GT starlet clocks into an ep80 or ep81 I'm mad to get this done as I hate the boring look of my clocks at the minute any help would much appreciated
