  1. cheers mate,, Its the same thing every one wants to pay as little as possible but get the best work i'd gladley pay 60 a corner to have a wheel refinished its not cheap but there good at what they do,, ah theres always a bit of price haggling but a fiver is bit of money back in your pocket,, one i hate is when they ring you ask you to come to them you repair the wheel ie lip damage or a deep scratch repaint it refit it back on the car knowing you have done your best to keep the customer happy and they still try look for flaws in your work even the smallest as it may be the valve go a tiny mi
  2. as see the trueno is the more desirable one down here the levin is the same but not as good,, yeah there very common down here like glanzas there was a flood of them at one stage everyone had one,, thats the problem there abused day in day out and people still expect big money for them sad to think if they dont start been looked after there going to get scrace the gt's over here are falling in numbers from been broke and crashed and neglect.

  6. i suppose but levins are so common here and any young lad that gets them 9 times out of 10 dogs it for a while and sells it on and same thing happens again with next owner some have been cared for but have been abused aswell i was never a big fan of the levins as i think they should have been rwd rather than fwd

  8. go for the 19mm easier to get and fit most alloys better than the 21mm there more for the steel wheels the 21mm size
  9. one way or another you will make your money back if you sell it or break it,, its a win win haha fire it in the shed when they are painting a tank army green or camo glanza rep haha
  10. isnt in my eyes a bad price for your wheels to look brand new again,, cheaper than buying another set,, it more of a hobby for me i can go into shed and potter around for a few hours doing it and make a few pound,, it was imaculate sorry i never bought it when he was selling it,, but i never knew he had sold it till i seen him in a levin
  11. i actually knew a fella that bought a van kitted it all out with all the gear for doing wheels refurbs painting and marks on wheels said people thought he was two expensive a full wheel refurb 65 a corner with new coat of paint and rebalanced also did alloys repairs at home but lasted around a year then sold van with all the gear as a start your own company thing hydro dipping is the new big thing i think but i'd be embarressed giving them my wheels to dip take me a week to clean them and try make them look respectable to give anyone is silver that uncommon in the sr model only one th

  13. haha i dont mind doing wheels keeps me happy but the laquer is impossible to get off sometimes and hand sanding takes ages ah its a nightmare to do them but someone has gotta do them haha here's a few sets i done so far and a mates bike now these are all done with rattle cans no guns or compressors used at all sorry done a good bit of painting with cans actually enjoy doing it

  15. cheers rory. I thought silver was a common colour along with white,,still need to get the finger out and finish the wheels only have one done need to borrow a mini sander the laquer is tough as hell to get off.
  16. where ever you removed pipes they may need to be re-sealed as the smallest hole will cause boost squeal/leak
  17. haha same here i got a set of nearly new side repeaters off a corolla in the breakers for a fiver
  18. yeah im sure it wouldn't cause any problems if the abs has been removed already
  19. sounds like the smallest amount of boost leak did you remove hotpipe when you fitted dumpvalve
  20. coming along nicely love the sound of exhaust in the car really grunty really could do with a set of clear front indicators and side repeaters
