I ran 297bhp/250+lb-ft for a year with abuse clutch kicks and with r888s and a unsprung 4puk clutch, and never missed a beat. Using proven quality lubricants may help prolong the life of the synchro, and help with temp etc
Boost curve would help, don't think it's ignition being retarded because the power doesn't really plunge north too quick. If your boost stays stable maybe something is letting boost leak past

Always air on the side of larger injectors. Depending on power levels denso 460cc will do for upto around 300bhp, any change in injectors will need to be re mapped.
