I get what your saying about if your gonna do it do it properly (forge it) etc but if somebody hasnt got the moneys to do it then I get that. These starlets are costly to own at the best of times and i get that most people dont have a grand to forge. Its hugely cheaper to build an engine useself as people are aware.thats what I did in 2010.

Very cool.nice work. -
Ure engines knackered dude. Engine comp should be 160+ on each cylinder. A healthy engine is around 170-175 psi per cylinder Oil coming out of your breather is indication of melted piston/cracked piston Also are you doin comp check correctly?

Pretty cool, although starlets have so much room for coolers its rare to see that type of cooler on a starlet

U need around 1.5 degrees up front and up to 2.0 or even 2.5 if you wana go mad for good trackday grip. I found 1.5 was plenty and didnt kill tyres. rear needs no more than 1.5 degrees.

Its offensive to people blessed with the gift of sight. Such a state. Why do that to a precious starlet ??!!

Update. The hybrid was a dud so had to source a stock ct9 which I am now running at a bar. I have replaced all valve stem seals as of friday just gone .did the rope down the bores method and went well. took a good few hours to do but at least its done. I have smoke at idle still but comps good as always, no oil deposits on plugs at all so must still be turbo issues just like the hybrid. smokes after 10secs of idling , not to bad but will get it sorted at some point, the car goes like a rocket now at a bar of boost and I am just enjoying it so much more now the turbo isnt laggy.
