  1. Dude theres not much point, those rebuild kits are made of cheese and dont work, best contacting liam d on here at midlands turbos. he can sort out a rebuild and you get a warranty. Honestly mate dont waste ure time with kits.been there done it
  2. Wow looks very similar to what happened to one of my pistons few years back. was running slightly lean and melted a piston all the way through, no other damage though as the alloy that was missing was vapourised !!! Lol best of luck with the build mate.
  3. Probably one of the latest and last of the unmolested glanzas left.what a stunner, such low miles also. Glws

  6. I know this thread's well old but as above the 1.0 bar mark on a stock ct9 is the "magic point" . I run 1.0 bar bang on I must add with external wastegate and it holds bang on a bar in EVERY gear without fail on a decent manual boost controller pulls superb nearly all way to redline and spools up so early and power is SUPER USABLE. I must add an external wastegate is a MUST when runnig a ct9 as they cant regulate there own boost well at all, appallingly infact. put this here as people in the future maywell search like I just did "max boost ct9" Hope it helps somebody
  7. As far as I know the shafts splines differ between the two.
  8. As above mate lol, best of luck with it.let us know how u get on
  9. That is one gorjus looking retro car mate.coupled with a starlet lump will be super awesome. will be keeping me eye on this one !!!
  10. Hmm I dont actually know what removes the barrel out of the sleve itself. I know theres a sheer-bolt to the whole unit, if its not accessible in car you may have to strip it right down and drill out sheer bolts then remove it to get to the whole thing better.
  11. Been through all this as above and wideband failed giving odd readings
  12. I stand corrected, they DO have a cat warning, sorry
  13. Dude I dont think starlets have a "catalytic converter warning light" Unplugging the lambda doesnt affect to much other than idle and cruise
  14. Easier to buy a glanza mate.thats alot of bother sourcing all those parts and getting them to your door
  15. Thats so neatly done above in that picture.nice work.

    Ct9 turbo

Dude you are better off getting your one rebuilt at midlands turbos, juat that theres basically none about anymore that are in good nick . there all old and worn units. Just trying to hwlp as I have bought a few knackered ones and for the price of them you can get a turbo with a new warranty etc. Best of luck matey
  20. Is there a particular reason for retaining the stock meat sheild, just that the price of a jam cast mani aint far of a decent secondhand tubular I am guessing
  21. I think in this case a td04 is for you matey.lol
  22. That videos shocking.of all the sick/horrible vids I have seen on tinternet (alot lol) this is the worst by far. watching it made me feel ill, but that kid wouldn't have known a thing about that accident. He would have broken up into pieces I am certain, and as for that car did you see the front of it, for a motorcycle to do that to a car is unseen before now im sure people pulling out on bikes is all to common and its what made me stop motorcycling. I was constantly worried about people pulling out on me and no longer enjoying riding
