  11. The engine bay tidy continues, managed to get some cleaning done and plumb in some more green. Not completely happy with the radiator hoses and i sheered a bolt on the bottom bracket for the rad so that needs a bit of work before giving the system a good flush and refilling with Toyota red! The power steering reservoir had been bodged on a bit during the engine conversion and the hoses were knackered so off that came to be relocated forward in the bay (might look into getting RW Developments to make me one up to match the catch can). I also gave carbon wrapping a crack and had a go at my cooling panel, longterm plans are for a genuine carbon fibre one but for now im pretty pleased with the result! Started heat wrapping the exhaust manifold (on the car again despite vowing never to do it fitted again, dont want to risk developing issues by removing it) fiddly job and looking to be more costly than expected, went through a 15 ft roll of 1" DEI exhaust wrap on only 2 branches of the manifold and have had to order 2 more rolls to finish the job! A few packages turned up this week so test fitted the belts and gauges (oil temp/pressure) Due to a vented n/a bonnet being a ways down on my to-do list and because i think it looks mean..........lil bonnet raise
  12. I stripped my first one and hated it mostly down to the road/water noise plus every little stone flicking up sounds like something falling off lol Vowed i wouldn't do it again but the addition of a full cage has forced my hand a bit although im thinking about sound proofing and re carpeting soon! I'd say if the cars a daily leave as much in as pos?

  21. ^^I hear you man, its long over due! On those ends.......got someone coming to give me his opinion on the bend over the weekend, plus had plenty of over time clearing up trees left by the storm that blew through just recently so i've got mend money to burn. Just got to find someone i trust before i let them loose on my pride and joy! Expect a few more pointless updates before any real news on when i'll be out stalking my local duel carriageway though!
  22. Glad to hear it's gone to a good home mate! Good luck with the next project
  23. Nice one matey.....my hunt for one continues!
  24. Not much of an update but i wanted to get some pics of the cage all fitted in the day light............ended up only taking this one because i got distracted fitting the newest ebay addition Crystal headlights During a visit from mr T-Dog we decided the engine bay was far too cluttered with the remains of the 4efe set-up, HIDs and stereo wiring, so started removing anything that didn't seem to be doing anything and thinking about re routing some unsightly bits and pieces (Toby works for Toyota i wouldn't have attempted this on my own). Because i've now fitted the Crystal headlights and because they look like shit in the bay......out came the HIDs along with Glanza radiator! Decided to relocate the battery to the boot so will be getting the bits together for that over the next few weeks. With the front of the car off and rad etc out the way it became apparent that the block and gearbox were in a bit of a funky state so i spent sunday covered in oil and paint! Finally got around to fitting the green hoses i've had sitting about but didn't manage to get the civic rad on due to not having a grinder handy and the OE mount needing a cut! DEI heat wrap ordered for the manifold and a couple other small updates to come!
