Love an SR as most people know, they were never really rated back in the day but it’s great to see them getting the love nowadays. When I drive the black one around it gets positive attention.

I do like the ambers on SR’s but on the silver cars I think the clears look cool. On black ones ambers are a must for me ha ha. Pleased you managed to get the Remus mate and if it rots in to dust like they all do then get a custom Box made and have the original tail pipe welded on like I did, original looks And decent sound while being strong.

got to be a keeper after all these years, awesome that you’ve still got it

Looks like I've found a bit of rot to the rear of the sill near the jacking point it's pretty soft wel see how bad it is at mot time as could be some more areas  I can't get to aswell feeling a little nervous now fingers crossed its not rotten all underneath I can't really see anything else other than surface rust ,  I'm aware it had some rust on the rear arches anyway worse case il have to have it patched then when it goes to the bodyshop il have it repaired properly with a complete sill if you can buy them I'm only doing this once so it's got to be right as it's getting garaged after and used only on sunny days I'm under no illusion this will be a cheap project on bodywork undersealing  and paint etc must be mad be cheaper to buy a silver 3 door and and swap bits but then it wouldnt my Sr would it? I'm attached to the little thing after all these years

Great looking sr I wouldn't worry to much about the rust comes with the age off the cars we have now. Any good body shop will replace the fill sills not that big of a deal if they are bad.

I fitted Sr Alloys to my Gt I got the full set 5 alloys.

Where abouts are you taking it? And how much was it to do the underside of the Celica?

Place called JR Classics in Doncaster fantastic cost 600 quid but you get what you pay for they have cars come from all over country mate they will be doing the respray aswell

4 kyb excel g shocks and kyb top mounts ordered, and new 35mm apex springs love how pikeys sr sits and I got them for just 85 quid couldn't say no at that price, so for shocks springs and top mounts came to 300 quid pics to follow hopefully fitted at the weekend and picking up a new door up tomorrow

Nice ep91.

What are your plans

Pretty much top to bottom on what needs doing mate first mechanical sorted then it's off to have arches sorted as has some rust coming in the usual places then cleaned up underneath and treated, then will need a full respray and refurb wheels  aiming for this by end of the year then gonna enjoy it while getting OCD with cleaning the interior  then move onto engine it's got 160k on so gonna source a low mileage engine and leave it with TD to sort I'm no good at stuff like that , I'm keeping this car forever mate as in my thread I bought it nearly 20years ago

Drop on 35mm springs not drove anywhere yet just on private drive 500 yards reckon they will drop more? I'm thinking of going up to 50 profile when I have the speedlines refurbished do they give to car more roll though I've only ever ran 45s
