Lukew360
I really don't think you'll notice any difference at all mate. The HKS ones are decent, I would stick with that
Liam_D
I have HKS Mushroom and i have no issues with it restricting boost.
AdamB
HKS ones are pretty good, but K&N are the best. Lets face it the amount of money they pour into R&D you couldn't compare with others ;)
maddox710
I can see daylight through my jetex filter
jakeep82
im going for just mesh over end of my silicone pipe as i cant find an air filter small enough to fit in i have literally no room !!
Burny
No airfilter ftw bit of sieve mesh
WallaceGlanza
No airfilter ftw bit of sieve mesh That can actually be more restrictive, a typical cone filter will have a larger surface area to take in air and with the right design will create a vortex and speed up the air flow.Apexi are supposedly the best out of the usual Jap filters, Edited August 2, 2012 by WallaceGlanza

Burny
What rad are you using Matt? I couldnt fit an airfilter on due to the rad being too big
mattyD
hmmmmmmmmmmm......................some interesting opinions I think I will stay clear of the sieve idea though ;) wouldnt mind a bit more filtration than that! loland on that note, I think the hks is quite poor for this aswell as any type of performance gain I am liking the sound of the apexi at the moment I have a civic rad on at the moment mate, so should be plenty of room in there
jakeep82
see i have a half size civic rad but i also have an oil cooler on the other size and my external wastegate is down there too fitting a normal size air filter or is very hard lol!
Burny
My turbo had to be filed down so i could get my full size radiator on lol

Burny
I bought a brand new half size civic one but because i planned on tracking the car i then decided to go for a full size alloy one it 'just' fits haha
5T4R7ET N/A
I remember coming accoss this, pretty decent http://www.mkiv.com/techarticles/filters_test/2/
Asad
Apexi would be the best bet, a genuine one that is...Id settle for k&n widely avaliable and theres loads of bargains on ebay
mattyD
I remember coming accoss this, pretty decent http://www.mkiv.com/...filters_test/2/Thats awesome mate with those results it kinda shows that the hks is the worst for both filtration and airflow albeit only 1hp but that could be the difference between 299 and the big 300 I think Apexi is definitely winning the race
micky boy
Think td04 glanza has a Apexi air filter for sale Matt not sure if you are after a brand new one like!!!
Browner
I run a small K&N filter on my Glanza and rate it very highly. It is a dual feed filter so takes in air from both the front and the sides Of the filter, whereas some filters have a plastic front, blocking airflow in its most direct route, and only taking in air from the sides.Browner
