morgey Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 (edited) Inside, ermCatch on the boot (wrap tape around the pin the hook goes around)Catches on the rear seats or the hingesParcel shelfIf uk spec the rear brake light can squeek.Just go mad with a bit of silicone grease or get a mate in the back of the car and go for a drive down a "private road" Edited January 2, 2013 by morgey Quote
micky boy Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Not the rubber bits on the parcel shelf rubbing on the boot? Quote
Liam_D Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Not the rubber bits on the parcel shelf rubbing on the boot?Mine does this too! Haha Quote
iamlegend Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 Parcel shelf is not in..it's not like anything is loose or making a rattle sound.. Sounds like the chassis (shell) is straining lol!Funny enough my brothers does it as well!So is your total silence inside the cabin minus the exhaust? Quote
Liam_D Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 Mine creaks and all sorts, always has done since i fitted the braces/ARBs and stuff. Think its just what Starlets do. Everyone ive been in has done the same. Quote
morgey Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 I've had a squeek only since I've fitted my RARB and my rear light squeeks. I would say its most likely the boot catch or the chassis is just twisting. Had you got a rear strut in it? Quote
iamlegend Posted January 2, 2013 Author Posted January 2, 2013 no rear strut as of yet altho that may help? Quote
morgey Posted January 2, 2013 Posted January 2, 2013 If its the chassis then i'd imagine a strut would help. Quote

StuDoc 72 Posted January 5, 2013 Posted January 5, 2013 Youd be better off with white spray grease, copper grease will work perfectly but the copper is added to resist heat and just makes right mess when its not completely necessary. If you use it for this it will work fine but will just make it more hassle ud be far neater and less hassle using white spray grease just a little tip.
