^^^^^ agree chuck some red x through it give it a bit of clean through but depending how u driving u will always get a little bit of black mate cuz the emanages same as plug n plays run a bit rich which can cause a bit of sut under heavy load n shifting gear always been told nothing to worry about under those circumstances

Put it this way...

Slightly too rich

black smoke

slightly less power

less heat

safer map

or

Slightly too lean

no smoke

slightly more power

more heat

potential to blow engine...

This! TD will have mapped the car to run slightly rich anyways. Rather be safe than sorry :)

Like I said before, hope it's nothing other than it burning a little fuel

Matt.

Well the misses said it's like someone is burning plastic proper black smoke when I'm driving slow or giving it some makes no difference. I use vpower I though that had cleaning additives in it ?I've noticed my mpg has gone down quite abit and when coming off boost its jerking quite bad :(

White Smoke is Water.... So water is getting into the engine in some way....

You'd expect this from a cold start but it should dissappear as the system warms up!

Blue smoke is most likely the turbo seals... Thats the first thing to try as TD04's are cheap!

Black Smoke, generally you'll only see this when your engine is under load, revving the car in neutral wont show this...

See here at 25secs.... That is a bit excessive.... but black smoke is nothing to worry about in small doses...

take the turbo off and have a look :) if you have leaky seals that woukd explain you kchoking wideband sensors and potentially killing your lambda hence the crappy consumtion :) that white smoke is more steam tbh just the weather i believe. my v used to do it in the colder damper months :) but i think the blacky bluey tinge is fuel and oil related :)
