Malcolm GT
Can you just put then on and run them. Or do they have to be set up by a garage etc ?
Banbury Glanza
Think you can just put them on but it's best to get them set up as far as I know, I may be wrong but that's what I was told
daniel_g
Fire them on, advise getting wheel alignment set up though on a decent machine in a reputable garage, for modified cars and such. Do you have an adjustable panhard rod too ? Hang fire until you get one if you dont already
Malcolm GT
Don't have one, I know it's better to have one but heard it isn't essential. I don't want any special camber etc just normal mode. Depending on time they come ill get the garage to sack them on and align them
Banbury Glanza
I thought Panhard was essential as lowering it will push the rear out of alignment ?
Amjad
Your alignment will probably be knocked out, mine drove like crap when I fitted Meisters before I got it set up
daniel_g
Bang them on and see how it drives, if it pulls or if you get some mad tyre wear then get alignment set up. Starlets do normally scrape when lowered without an adjustable panhard rod. Few people dont run them and get no troubles. You should fit them yourself, incredibly easy to do. Save cash man. Malcolm GT
Will get it alligned then if they come in time. Well I know jay off here has meisters and he has no panhard on his. Thanks for all the quick replies people. Would fit them but I'm useless ha and no tools, use my mates who are at work damnit Edited May 1, 2013 by Malcolm GT
morgey
Fit them yourself but get your tracking done as a minimum. £25-30Ideally you want the front camber dialling in as well. Most decent tyre places will be able to do tracking and camber but no doubt they will charge extra for adjusting the camber lol
iamlegend
fit the coilovers set them up to what you want! do not need a panhard rod to me like... mine handles a dream and aint got one!
WallaceGlanza
Definitely get the tracking done including camber - it will be out after you fit the coilovers. It depends on how low you go as to whether you need a panhard rod but technically as soon as you lower it then the rear beam is out of alignment, it's more noticeable the lower you go, you can physically see that the rear wheels don't sit square compared to the front. Malcolm GT
Ahh that makes sense I don't want silly low just sit nicely and hold firm. I can get the panhard at end if month if needed. Hope they come early!
