klyfax
Hi there.I bought a rear tail light here on UKSO. A used part. Seller told me it was is good condition, so i bought without a picture of the tail light. Why lie for 30£?I got this: Is this good condition in UK? Here in Denmark/Sweden, this is scrap so I'm a bit disappointed over this. I could live with some scratches, it is a used part.Reason I ask is, this is not the first time i got a good condition part thats goes directly in to the trash can.Is it just me that have to high expectations of used parts in UK?What would you guys call a tail light without these damages? Flawless condition? This is not a topic with the meaning to hang someone. Its made, so I can understand a litlle more about UK, and how parts are being traded in UK.Looking forward to some honest answers from you guys. Thanks from a confused scandinavia citizen
Chesh
Never buy part without seeing picture and that light not in good condition
Socks
this always puzzles me... The amount of people, ive spoke to. That describe something as MINT CONDISH... Or Very Very good condition... and when I see it, my opinion is either fucked or average or even poor in some cases... As with anything, its the odd few that ruin it... But please, don't brand the UK as bad for that... As I certainly wouldn't be happy if that was described as good condition...
scottyb
Definately wouldnt say that was good condition! Thing is with overseas shipping is things can be damaged as well. Alwaysss ask for pics before buying though, ive made the mistake previously as well and got useless parts. But as socks said, dont tar us all for that! I know i definately would never do that do anyone!
klyfax
Thanks so fare. Its was described as good condition. I ask for a picture, seller promised is was in good condition, and could send a picture if i wish. I trusted him, and told him to send it. So the no-picture trade, is my mistake.Sounds like people "over described" their parts in UK.Socks, have made great trades with traders on this side so fare, so I'm not frightened... Yet...Scotty, the box is undamage. Clearly i would't ask this if the box was damage.
Flynn
I'd say the crack in the lense could have happend in transit but the damage to the rear unit bit was already there...... they are in poor used condition and I'd be pissed too! Wouldn't say there's a culture for talking parts up here in the uk though, think you just got unlucky?
morgey
Id be the same as you mate, I would have thrown it out rather than flogging it off for £30!Unfortunately these people are out there so next time ask for multiple pictures. If they're not willing to provide then walk away!
AdamB
Wouldn't say its in the best condition, I suppose I would class that as a "good used" item. It has some slight defects but still looks as if it functions correctly. I've seen a lot worse for a rear light.
daniel_g
Name and shame !! We're not all bad mate, forget the UK thing, this was an individual person remember. Hope you can find a solution.
Billy SR
someone charging £30 for standard n/a lights deserves to be named and shamed Edited August 13, 2013 by Billy SR
Lew91
Sounds like it was only the 1 light??
scottyb
Scotty, the box is undamage. Clearly i would't ask this if the box was damage. Was just meaning in general, not necessarily with this case. Although could still be shaken etc and cracked. But it was probably padded when packaged

klyfax
The 30£ was with shipping to sweden. Easy now Idrees ask for a shipping cost for me, around 20-30£, remember I live in sweden But his light was damage, so we stopped there. The light was well packed with bubble Wrap, and no damage to the box. Nice to hear that this isn't a good condition part. I would call it a working used parts, with a little damage.I will contact the seller and ask him to explain what happen.Thank you so much, nice to here from all of you! I will try to trade with other people in the future.
klyfax
I'v probably got one in the shed if you get stuck, ,that you can have , pm me Great offer, thanks alot. But will buy a new glass instead. The left one has no marks, scratches or any damage, so i would have 2 taillights in mint condition.
