Blue timing belt???

Hi all,

Bit of a random one, just finishing up the TD04 conversion on my 82 and as I haven't had the car long I thought I'd better pop the cambelt cover off to have a quick look at the belt.

The belt is blue and has a glossy finish on the outer face, looks in good condition. Can't see any writing or markings left.

Am I right in thinking this is a Greddy belt??? I know the HKS ones are pink......

Any light shed on this would be good

aye its a power enterprise kevlar timing belt quite expensive normaly only see them on forged jobbys

Well that would be a huge result! May well have to pull the sump and see what hides beneath.

Was only running a CT9, blitz induction, HKS fcd and a fmic when I bought it. But you never know ;)

Could have been done in japan and the previous owner didn't even know.. That would be a nice surprise

Take the plugs out and have a look down the holes to see if you can spot any markings on the pistons

Hardly anyone used to use them on forged builds either as it was only really thought necessary if going above standard rev limit with big cams. My brothers old forgie had one, god knows who has that engine now tho

Gates racing belts are usually blue

May be in with some luck, you never know lol
