Keiranstar168
How easy is it to spray? I'm thinking of going with and turquoise writing to match my car
Banbury Glanza
I'm guessing just remove it, strip all the old paint off and clean it, then primer it spray it and lacquer it mate.
Jamie5414
As Above. Don't get it sand blasted as the sand will get in behind the baffle and stick there.
Gainzy
As Above. Don't get it sand blasted as the sand will get in behind the baffle and stick there.Would acid dipping it afterwards not clear that?
Jamie5414
Could do, but I wouldn't like to risk it
Keiranstar168
I don't want to remove it incase I mess anything up so is it possible to spray it while it's still on the car
Banbury Glanza
Yea just have to mask it all up mate. But you still gotta remove all the nuts, might as well take it off
richardc9052
Primer then make sure that you use a good few coats of paint and let it dry over night at a minimum and the spray a few coats of lacquer on to finish

Markgtni
wich paint is best to use for this? just any heat resistant paint?
RobSR
Ive never used heat resistant paint and never had a problem,.
rwdrev
to do it right, you need to take the rocker back to clean aluminium, de greese, then ETCH prime the bare ali, as normal primers dont stick very well to the ali and will eventually flake off. once etched, a light sand then start applying your top coats. if you dont etch it it wont take long for the top coat paint to start flaking off. i just use normal car rattle cans when i do it.
