Sump, Ep91 and Ep82 different?

Hi,

are the EP91 and EP82 sump's for the 4efte engine different in any way? Can I buy a sump from a EP82 4EFTE and it'll fit onto my 4efe?

No they aren't, I have both in my garage

In what way do they differ ? There on an identical engine block ?

I think they're the same, fitted a Glanza one to my MK3 and the one that came off looked the same

oil pickups are not interchangeable,

gt sump wont fit glanza pickup and gt pickup wont fit glanza sump

They are a different shape yeah, as Russ said you need the pick-up to match.

The GT sump has a flatter bottom.

No problems, managed to get a sump from a Glanza so no worries about it fitting

Did you get the pickup with it? Make sure you get a matching pickup..

The pickup that came with the Glanza sump looked exactly the same as my GT one, so I kept the GT one in there

I once made the mistake of not matching the pickup and sump and ended up crushing the pickup without realising.. Resulting in the head not getting enough oil and literally fried the head on my newly rebuilt engine.

sumps are indeed different between gen1 and gen2 4efte engines

i couldn't get an ep82 sump on my ep91 because of the exhaust lol, there's a channel for it on the ep91 sump

I did take off my GT pickup to compare it to the Glanza one. They looked the same and I kept the GT one as it didn't need cleaning.
