Got most of the loom plugged back in too.

Ordered a oil line for my turbo from Keith @zisco which should be here by next weekend.

Made a couple of other purchases too but they'll remain a surprise!

That looks awesome mate :D !!! I've just ordered the same kit, can't wait to get it!

Think they'll suit the car well! And are pretty light which is always a bonus!

More updates to follow this weekend!

Top Stuff.

Im also doing some work on my TD05 Forged Glanza, I've been looking at them turbos and debating it myself.

Im local to MK too and looking for mapping in Jan, Who you going go with ?

Not 100% sure yet buddy.

A lot of my friends use street racers in Leicester, but Mike @ TD has been really helpful so I'm 80% sure I'll take it there.

Loving the colour and can't wait to fit them this weekend.

Also got a parcel from a Rob Ebbs with some solid Intercooler Pipework and a large front mount. Not planning on using the front mount but good to have a spare!

  • 3 weeks later...

Weather has been crap so haven't managed to get much done. Engine is all wired up and I'm just waiting on a turbo oil return pipe from Sacha @ WEPR to turn up before I start her up.

Had abit of a nightmare this weekend with the car, spent all day Saturday trying to gain oil pressure. I tried numerous ways, and in the end was very close to just turning the car on and praying for the best! But after a phone call to a friends brother who owns a garage and mods MR2's he suggested removing the oil filter and attaching a large silicone hose to it. I filled the silicone hose with oil and had my mate crank the engine and after a few attempts bingo!

So with the oil pressure problem sorted we connected the king lead, put the oil filter and spark plugs in and fired her up! This resulted in fuel pissing out the injectors due to crap seals! Luckily the larger injectors i have bought for the car came with seals so we swapped them over!

Thinking that nothing else could possibly go wrong, we started her up! She started first time and i adjusted the FPR, but listening closer there was obviously a problem (video in engine section)! I believe the gearbox sandwich plate is hitting the flywheel! Luckily its not anything serious and i will drop the gearbox off saturday to replace the plate! Hopefully after that she will be good to go for mapping on the 7th Feb!

Very excited to see what kind of power she'll make! I'll get a video up of her running on Saturday!

Any joy switching the sarn plates over?

I took a better look at this, and its 100% the flywheel hitting the sandwich plate.

But now I've lost oil pressure again so something isn't right :(

Hoping to take it over to my mates garage

Been having trouble getting oil pressure again, so decided to take the car to my mates brothers garage. They specialise in MR2's but have worked on some starlets over the years!

Loaded her onto a flatbed and dropped her off!
