RoryWebb432
Ok so, well for starters I shouldn't have bought this bonnet from anywhere but here so it's my own fault. I bought a bonnet off a guy (not the through the forum) the picture he sent me was of the bonnet looking mint! Yes I should have asked for many detailed pictures but the seemed genuine. So I jumped at it for £70 posted. Upon receiving it, it looked nothing like what I was expecting. He didn't say it was damaged in any way at any point during negotiations of the sale. He didn't say it was mint but didn't day it was damaged either. I'm not sure I have grounds for opening a dispute or not? What do you guys think. I'll post pictures of it below of what he sent me. And then I'll post pictures of what I received. That's what he sent me. Looks like a fresh respray!
jimmymac101
If you payed through paypal claim off that! What does the bonnet acctually look like ? James
RoryWebb432
That's a sheared boltI vented my frustration to the seller as you can imagine and explained that the only reason I wanted a white bonnet was so that I didn't have to spray my silver one. There has been no reply since. Also just before this bonnet arrived to me he wanted to buy my good condition bonnet and bootlid for £100 as he'd just bought a silver glanza. What are your guys veiws on this? I'm no body work expert but the bonnet needs a lot of work. And a respray to say the least. Is it worth repairing? Do I open a dispute and send it back to him? RoryWebb432
I paid through PayPal and the sale was agreed through Fb chat
daniel_g
Open a dispute thats shocking.Name and shame aswell.
Matt1878
You should open up a dispute via paypal if you are unhappy with what you received!
RoryWebb432
I might try messaging him 1 more time and see if he replies. I'll mention I'll open a dispute if there's no response. I'm a reasonable guy and I'm pretty laid back but I thought this was a proper shit thing to do. I could never mislead somebody into thinking they're buying a decent part and then send them shit. Why would someboft be like that.
JoJo_228
Maybe give a heads up on the seller? Get on to paypal if you aren't happy dude !
Gainzy
Not worth repairing send that shit back, you paid paypal fee's? NEVER BUY FB SHITE unless you know them.
RoryWebb432
I sent £70 and he paid the fees. I've messaged him saying that I'd settle for at least a 60% refund or full refund. And that if I heard nothing back from him then I would open a dispute. I'm not going to name him until he's had a chance to resolve it. If no reply then I'll name him. I hate having to do this. I just give people the benifit of the doubt.
Matt1878
As long as the fees were paid and you didn't send as a gift your covered.Alright he will say that you didn't ask for more pics. Maybe next time ask for more and get more information on something before buying. Not your fault at all though. I'd be furious if it was shown as the above picture and it turned up like that.. RoryWebb432
The seller has informed me that £70 is a fair price for this as he paid fees and posted, and to open a dispute. So I've opened a dispute.

Arnold
I'd settle for at least a 60% refund Way too low. You bought it in good faith. If they lose money on the courier, then they shouldn't post shite in the first place!
