theminiguru
There will be soon buddy. The wipers are done and I'm soon to fit the carpet pin
theminiguru
I managed to find a set of the original Toyota fork adapters instead of using the slide on plastic adapters which came on the car. I flatted them back and applied some enamel paint. I've replaced all the wipers as they were looking a little sorry for themselves plus the rear one had a little screw and nut put through it? lol Edited February 6, 2015 by theminiguru
Amjad
Nice find! I'd get some EP91 front arms and a Yaris rear one. Cleans it up to no end compared to the stock '82 bits

theminiguru
Managed to get a couple of little jobs done today. Wipers have been fitted to the car and the carpet pin was missing so a replacement has been installed.I had a go at polishing the front cross member as it looked a little dirty. The whole engine bay will need the same treatment but I'll be doing a bit at a time due to the time required. Happy with this so far tho Also had some new plates made as the ones which came with the car look awful. I managed to get another mint pair of optional surrounds as well so test fitted them Edited February 11, 2015 by theminiguru

theminiguru
After a little persuasion i managed to get the rocker cover off and had a go at polishing it. It needs a little more work but compared to what It looked like originally I'm really happy with it Edited March 2, 2015 by theminiguru
theminiguru
After a manic few months i finally got to do some work on the car. First of which is that awful cassette player and dodgy loom. I had the plug i was missing donated by fiddlersport and soldered that in. I sourced an original glanza cd, cassette radio and fitted it. Looks so much better Also from fiddlersport was the no smoking ashtray. Just need the insert as that's missing The jam gearknob i have replaced the shabby leather one and looks awesome. The optional mats looked grubby so gave them a clean. Edited August 1, 2015 by theminiguru
theminiguru
Really getting somewhere with the car now so here's an update of my progress. The optional mats have now been refitted.Oem mk1 alloy wheels have been sanded, prepped and painted and look amazing. Really happy with the outcome. As well as the wheels, I made a start on the bodywork which wasn't in the best of conditions when i bought the car. Firstly i removed the front bumper ready for prep. The bumper is currently waiting for the paint to be mixed then it can be applied and polished. When removing the bumper i found that the support bar had been bent slightly so i removed it and straightened it up.I found that there were stone chips and light scratches all over the car so I mixed some paint up and touched them up. The bonnet came up a treat The brakes didn't look great being rusty behind the freshly painted wheels so i went over them with some enamel. Still finding things to freshen up like this throttle cable support spring Whilst cleaning the interior i noticed a tear in the drivers seatbelt so i sourced a set from another mk3 and fitted them. The alternator wasn't producing the required voltage so i purchased a replacement from jdm-ep.After having the parts sat in my lock up for ages and really wanting the car to run, i fitted all the ancillary parts. Cambelt kit and water pump, alternator, both ancillary belts and flushed the coolant system. She now purrs like a kitten Edited July 24, 2015 by theminiguru

theminiguru
I'm unsure which car to bring tbh. I was going to take the glanza but if this makes it onto the road before jae i may bring this instead
