H_D Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I have been hearing a knocking noise coming from my car when changing gears so i decided to check my engine mounts. I was horrified with what I found.Got a replacement set from Socks and they got delivered and fitted within 48hrs Quote
Socks Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 tbh 75% of the used mounts we see are either 50% torn or ripped clean out! Quote
glanzadude Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Why is that then just old cars are what? Quote
Socks Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 old cars. more power then they were rated for... mainly Quote

GP82 Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 The engine mount on the right, is it a turbo one or NA because it looks not so strong, can anybody clarify!? Quote
5T4R7ET N/A Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 thats how mine looked to i swapped them over for jezzas bushes totally tranceformed gear changesWhat's the verdict on jezza's mounts? Quote
5e colin Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 only fitted then 3 to 4 hours ago only driven around the block but feels / looks promising deffo les vibrations then yello pollys will give my verdict next week Quote
Bluebear Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Yep, mine were pretty much adrift from the mounts as well! Didn't fancy the harshness/cabin vibration of polys so I went for TRD rubber mounts which are harder than stock but still have a bit of softness. Quote
glanzadude Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 I have the yellow pollys to fit so will see how I find them Quote
Amjad Posted February 14, 2015 Posted February 14, 2015 Need Jezza to do the LSD ones already, pretty sure mine need/will need replacing soon! Quote
H_D Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 I will be sticking to factory mounts on my Ep82 as its running stock power. However my V is fully polybushed. Quote
mattyD Posted February 15, 2015 Posted February 15, 2015 Replace the rear gearbox mount to, mine went and was very very costly to out back correctly! Quote
