Sherb87
Hi All, I have an odd clunk which sounds like it is coming from the drivers side front suspension.... But, it only does a single clunk, after the car has been stood. For example, when I turn out my drive and I get to almost full lock it does and single clunk and that's it, quite loud. Doesn't do it when driving and only does it after it has been sat a few hours. I've had it in the air and had pull on everything, turned the steering etc and can't replicate it. Has anyone had a similar thing?

Johnboy GT
Have you checked your spring and top mount?John
Sherb87
I don't think it is sat long enough for it to be brakes and only does it when turning. I haven't checked the top mount and spring in terms of taking them apart, and couldn't really see anything wrong... I shall have a proper look!
patman
Clunking when turning is drive shaft splines if I'm right?
Matt1878
I get this too! .. It's just one single clunk that I can hear when setting off from a stationary position.. Or if I'm rolling backwards and then drive forward it does it then

aleximport25
I have the occasional knock when I'm on full lock and setting off, but I know it's my engine torque damper as is started as soon as I fitted it. Might be worth a check if you have one Edited June 10, 2015 by aleximport25

Definitely doesn't sound like brakes. My corolla with levin twinpots is doing exactly this only after fitting the twinpots. If its not that then its driveline related as its coming from osf most noticably
