Gainzy
That looks tailored Toyota never ever seen anything like it, looks pretty snug on there please tell me you didn't put any holes through it fitting that boost gauge!
BillyM247
It already had a hole in it mate but you can't tell when the boost gauge is off as it's not a hole its like an X shape cut!
Rob H@RCH Engineering
There a aftermarket item not made by toyota and there from Australia. There still available too ive had 2 of them over the last 14 years and I got one for a mate too many years ago! Think there about 30 quid new
Gainzy
Ahh well there you have it, looks different and with stop the dash from fading
Matt1878
Love this. Perfect for when you have just cleaned it up nice as the glare from the stock dash is painfully annoying!
Maxep
Any links from where you can get this if it's indeed an aftermarket product?
Nanglebadger
always fancied one of these! look well! Phil.
BillyM247
Unfortunately I don't have a link anywhere, never actually seen another one highly doubt it's aftermarket as its so well made and the shape is specifically for the starlet dash. But i may be wrong
Nanglebadger
Yeah the lads are right, these are not a Toyota item, pretty sure they originated in Oz as an aftermarket item. Only ever seen one in the flesh at JAE many years ago. Socks
WHat holds them in place rob? just rubber base?
Nanglebadger
according to the eBay add, velcro is supplied with them. This has put me in the notion as I need something to mask the holes in my dash from the gauge wiring - it would mean putting alot of small holes in the mat, but I reckon thats ok for the cost of them. BillyM247
I can assure you all that this its not the same matt as those Ebay links, I've looked at pictures on Ebay and they look shocking. I can guarantee you that it's not the ones on Ebay mine is a MUCH MUCH better quality, I'm not saying it's genuine Toyota just I kno it isn't an eBay one. But see for yourself when you order one lol. Thanks For the enquiries anyway
Gainzy
Those ebay one's don't go around the air vent my 98 spec mats look like they belong to Billys dash mat.
BillyM247
Also has cut outs for the back vents under the front windscreen And for my clock!
Rob H@RCH Engineering
The original one I had came with the cut out for the clock in it but that one got nicked because my profec E01 was mounted through it so when that got nicked so did the dash cover. The second one I got did not have the cut out for the clock so I had to cut that out myself, they were both from the same manufacturer tho. This is the one I have nowAnd yes Matt they come with velcro to secure them with. I got both of mine direct from Australia the first was brought over in my dads cousins suit case and the second was brought over by a friend of his that was visiting for the firefighters games and he dropped it off at work for me lol
Nanglebadger
I'm honestly sitting looking at yours Rob thinking....would I poke enough holes in one to mount all my gauges and run the wires through????? interesting! Phil.
