Sefton-EP91
Anyone else's ds2500 pads squeak when under light braking? Not as bad when braking harsh!
H_D
if you have put new pads on old disks this can happen for a while until the pad has bedded in
morgey
I have the same issue. Was told grooved discs help but havent driven mine in ages since fitting the new discs
ReeceGolliker
Copper grease the back of the pads, it reduced brake squeak for me
akyakapotter
My ksports squeek but stop after a good run using them hard
Sefton-EP91
Thanks for all the replies!! I'll get some copper grease on the back of the pads and see if it makes any difference!
Sefton-EP91
Stripped them down today and it has made a massive difference, I'd say 95% of the squeak has gone. Only does it now when coasting at around 5mph and lightly on the brake pedal! I can live with that though!!
daniel_g
Strip, clean & copper grease works wonders!
Sefton-EP91
Strip, clean & copper grease works wonders! It sure does lol it still squeaks a small amount but I can live with it! I haven't tried them when hot yet so we will see...
gorganl2000
yeah...i find the whole brake caliper system can do with a good dis-assembly and grease up ever so often, especially during the rainy seasonand i suspect in climates with snow/sludge and salt spray it is even more important and putting a bit behind the pads themselves generally helps too--as you have been told
ashley newbert
Ferodo ds2500 pads squeek abit when cold and under light braking anyways because of the ammount of ceramic in them i wouldnt bother doing anything just drive faster and brake harder;)
daniel_g
Think you'll find that ds2500 are actually made from kryptonite mate.
